Leigh | 697 comments I haven't read it yet.

Etiquette & Espionage (Finishing School, #1) by Gail Carriger this is the first in the series. Covers are really pretty!

message 58: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments All of her books have great covers. That one would catch my eye. Neat title too.

the names of the chapters are funny too. Curtsies & Conspiracies (Finishing School, #2) by Gail Carriger the second book!

message 60: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments That title's clever too. Not quite as crazy about the cover, but it's still good.

I like this one better!

Bright Horizons by Wilson Harp

message 63: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Just goes to show you. Everyone likes different things:) Not sure why I like the purple cover better. I'm not a real "purple" person, but the blue one seems dark to me.

Judith Post | 622 comments Hope you have a great spring, Leigh! Happy reading.

message 69: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments I was just thinking about you. How have you been? Happy Reading!

message 70: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments I'm great. My husband retired, and my daughter moved into an apartment. She just got a job as a traveling nurse, but she'll close enough to us to drop in once in a while. One grandson's finishing his junior year in college and the other's renting a house with his girlfriend. We hear from them and see them enough, we're not suffering from empty nest, but I have lots of time to write. So all's good! It was great to see your name again.

message 71: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments I'm glad everything is going well for you and your family. I will have my two grandsons next week and my thirteen year old daughter. School is out for the Easter holiday. I have been busy reading and trying to get my reviews done. It was nice coming back to this thread and seeing our old comments. I have missed you. Hope you have a great weekend! Happy Easter!

message 72: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments You, too! Enjoy the kids over spring break.

message 73: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments Thanks Judith! I will. Have you read anything good lately?

message 74: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments I read Ilona Andrews's Magic Rises and Burn For Me. Loved them both! And my daughter and I buddy read Sarah Addison Allen's First Frost, a literary romance. I love her writing and her subtle magic. I'm reading Over His Dead Body now. A friend who loves mysteries recommended it, and it's pretty fun.

message 75: by Leigh (last edited Apr 04, 2015 02:39AM) (new)

Leigh | 697 comments I still need to read Magic Rises. I loved Burn for Me. I am reading The Unleashing by Shelly Laurenston. I'm enjoying it so far.

message 76: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments I buy paperbacks of authors I love, but I got Over His Dead Body at the library, and I'm loving it. Big print. Some of the paperbacks are a strain anymore, especially if the ink isn't dark enough.

message 77: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments I love my iPad because I can adjust font size. I am also loving audio books.

message 78: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments I love my Kindle, too, but I have a habit of buying way too many books and I know I'll never get to some of them. Better too many than not enough, though:) We aren't going to have any kids here this Easter. A first, so I decided to make grown-up Easter baskets with homemade cut-out cookies, fudge, and caramels. Enjoyed making them today. Hope the bunny's good to you.

message 79: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments I did do Easter baskets for my 13 year old daughter and the two grandsons. No candy. Clothes, toys and of course books. I got two hummingbird feeders. Love hummingbirds! Sorry you won't have the kids this Easter. Hopefully you will still celebrate with family and friends.

Thank you. I do too. If a book has mythology in it I usually will try it. Kera has a dog named Brodie. Loved the dog!

message 86: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments The book I'm writing on now has a hero named Brody. Hope he's as neat as the dog:)

message 87: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments Give me a heads up when it comes out. I would like to read it.

I did! I'll say one thing, it didn't feel like Kate would pop up. I kept missing Buffy when I watched Angel. Hope that makes sense?

I just started it--a romance. So it will be a while before it's ready to go:)

I love Kate and Curran, but I loved Nevada and Mad Rogan, too.

I never watched Buffy or Angel but Kate would have been a great addition. What did you think of the grandma?

Funny.

message 98: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Kate and Curran won.

message 99: by Leigh (new)

Leigh | 697 comments Of course they would.

message 100: by Judith (new)

Judith Post | 622 comments Of course?? I like the newcomers, too! Got a kick out of it that Ilona Andrews ended up competing against herself at the end. She even beat Jeaniene Frost's Cat and Bones. Have to say, I like the newcomer there a lot, too. Go, Vlad!
