Reading Eve and Adam? Finished? This is the place to talk about Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate's novel.

I'm on page 80-something of it and so far it's pretty good.

I'm on page 150 now, it's good, but it kinda dragging on a bit now, but I do like it so far. And it's definitely not how I thought it would be. But I do like it so far.

I enjoyed the book, but it never fully expanded on the ideas it presented. The ending left something to be desired.

That's it exactly! They over simplified it! Solo seemed like a really interesting character, but we barely got to know him. Eve new even less than we did about him.

I did like how the book not so subtlety pointed to how genetics is not a direct correlation to personality. We see that even though Adam is "programed" for Eve he still gets along better with her friend.

I've never designed the perfect guy. I really don't find myself attracted to people until I've interacted with them. Sure, they're hot or cute, but I have to get to know them first. I fall for personality over looks.

I just finished it and I agree that it was a bit over simplified. However, I don't think it was very clear on somethings.The whole ending felt a little rushed. Like the authors were suddenly like, "OK, lets get this book over with now."
They also had a lot they could work with in the book, but didn't use it to it's full potential. They definitely could have added more to Solo's past and such. I also would have liked to know a little more about Solo's parents and Terra Spiker.
Overall it was good, but it could definitely have been way better.

It seems they're planning a sequel, which makes me feel a little bit better.

I would read the sequel if there is one.

Right now, I'm on page 202. Had to finish another book before I started this one.It's been pretty good so far. After I finish, I'll tell you my final thoughts on the book.

Okay, I finished this a couple of days ago, and I felt the ending was TOTALLY rushed. Even the whole book. It all went by quite quickly, and I wish Eve and Solo had a more in-depth relationship, it felt like they knew nothing about each other before they became a couple. We didn't even know much about the main characters like Terra and Solo, and I agree with all the comments here, especially about the movie. It could be really good if done right.

oooooh it would made a good movie! The book did have a nice plot twist when we found out about Solo's parents involvement.
