Alisa What are some of your favorite things to cook? Do you have a favorite type of cooking you like best? Certain flavors or styles you use most? Do you have "specialities" or maybe dishes you're famous for?

Dena | 17 comments Soups and stews were favorites when my 3 sons were at home. With homemade bread they made nutritious filling meals that I could make ahead and have ready to accommodate busy schedules. Now I make them and freeze individual portions for fast meals for the two of us. When everyone comes home for holidays and visits I like to have a meal with three different soups to appeal to different tastes and diets. One of the soups is usually Borsht which is my sons' favorite but not necessarily a favorite with daughter-in-laws and grandchildren. Beets have a bad reputation!

Dianne (dianeterry) | 2 comments We have seasonal favourites, mostly due to when the children were at home made using home grown or seasonal fruit & veg.
Blackberry & apple crumble cake, courgette cake, pumpkin pasta, pumpkin pie , pumpkin quiche, vegetable chilli, roast pumpkin soup with freshly made bread.
Chicken rice with almonds & lime, African veg & bean stew.
I love to cook, so do our kids.
