Yeah more Readaholic's i love it.. :) welcome to all the new members. :) Happy Reading all

I read constantly. If I am not reading, well, I am usually on the computer looking for new things to read lol. No matter how big my TBR pile is getting.
Here goes the list of favorites: J.R. Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Charlaine Harris, Karen Chance, Jeanine Frost, Rachel Vincent, Richelle Mead, Melissa De La Cruz, Cassandra Clare, Kelly Armstrong, Jenifer Rardin, L.J. Smith, and the list continues.
As far as my favorite place to read goes, I have a little green chair in my room that I swear my butt is glued to. Lol.
I have a dog named Chip. I know original. He is an indoor dog, and he likes to sleep on my head. Quite annoying.
Wide list of hobbies as well, but I wont go into detail about all that here.
welcome to the Group Lenore....awww ur dog sounds so cute whats the breed?
i hope u have a great time :) and i so have to check out ur TBR pile. i am always looking for new books to read :)

My favorite series is the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.
My favorite place to read is my living room after the kids are in bed. I love to curl up on the couch with a book and a cup of tea or a glass of wine depending on the day I had.
My hobbies besides reading are yoga, pilates, cooking, and photography. I also love to travel but it's been difficult since we had children. Hoping we'll be able to travel more when my 2 year old is a little older.
Something unique about me? I'm a military wife so we move around often. We've spent the last 5+ years living in Germany. We'll be moving to Louisiana in a few weeks. I grew up in Virginia but have lived in Washington DC, Maryland, Alaska, Tennessee and Germany during the last 10 years. My husband and I have spent at least half of our marriage apart. As much as I hate being away from him I think it has made us a stronger couple.
Welcome Christie to the group :) wow.. u have lived in alot of places.. congrats on still being together that's great :)

But I also go by Ariana (Strange I know)
I love to read, (obviously) write and occasionally have my thoughts deviated towards world domination (Don't worry. I'm still in the rough draft stage)
I don't buy books unless they are really really good. So majority of the time I get it from the library.
And if i'm given a book that isn't good then I can't finish it.(I usually give it three chapters to impress me)
Last but not least I will like to confess that I am a bookaholic (Oddly enough more with books to do with the supernatural). I read on average five books a week. Sometimes less sometimes more. In fact I once read so many books right after the other that I actually got a headache so bad that I couldn't read for a week. I kid you not.

I love anything paranormal. Some of my favorite authors are:
MaryJanice Davidson
Jim Butcher
Dakota Cassidy
Mark Henry
Gerry Bartlett
Kim Harrison
Linda Wisdom
Yasmine Galenorn
Charlaine Harris
Laurell K. Hamilton
Patricia Briggs
10 things people might not know about me.
1. I have five wiener dogs
2. I am obsessed with bath and body products
3. I used to own a tea and bath business
4. I am pagan
5. I have a serious pillow obsession
6. I love Greek/ Mediterranean food
7. I am very sensitive and cry sometimes
8. I know how to crochet lace
9. I HATE to cook and don't do it
10. I love presents all the time. LOL

on a personal note I'm 25, married five years to a wonderful man, I have two step childern in their teens and two childern under five. Two crazy felines that don't know their felines and one has a foot fetish, lol. I love and collect books mostly I have hisorical fiction but I of course have all of Rices Vampire books and a few of Stephen Kings that I adore right beside my classics like Jane Austen, lol.

That said, I love to read. I don't just read, I devour. My husband teases me about how fast I read. Says we'd save a fortune if I just read slower :D
Urban Fantasy is by far my favorite genre, but I also enjoy mystery, romance (especially paranormal romance) & fantasy.

I live in Australia and have my own Debut novel Night's Cold Kiss:A Dark Brethren Novel coming out next month. I am looking forward to getting my second book in so I can do some more reading.
Congrats on getting published Tracey! Your book looks really interesting. I've added it to our group's upcoming releases list (as well as my own To-Read) list.
Welcome to the group everyone!
Welcome to the group everyone!

Cool, my friend at work just finished reading your book - she got an advanced copy. She said it was really good so I'm definitely going to have to get it when it comes out.

my fav series are, vampire academy and dead until dark.
my hobbies are dancing(my whole life really) writing and READING!
i am deffinately addicted to reading.i like reading on my bed with my cat snuggled up against me. i have to be eating something while i read and i have to be listening to music
something unique about me is that i have no bros and 5 sisters. somehow my family is only able to reproduce girls!

Thanks Shannon - it's strange to know people are reading my book. There are so many great books out there - I wish had a time stopping device so I could stop and read more books.

I love all types of books, but I have a special place in my heart for supernatural elements, Urban Fantasy especially. There is just something sinister and sensuous and just delicious about a supernatural element. It spices up any plot if done well and can sometimes salvage those that aren't. I'm pleased to see I've read most of the selections you all have chosen thus far and am excited to jump into your future picks!

My favorite authors are Kelley Armstrong, Stephen King, Patricia Briggs, Charlene Harris, T.A. Pratt, and many more. My favorite place to read would be in bed.
I have way too many hobbies, I think! I like to cross stitch (currently working on baby blanket for a friend), latch hook (working on wolf rug for self)and I also breed and raise reptiles. I have leopard geckos, bearded dragons and albino red eared sliders. Just to take care of all the reptiles, it takes about 3 hours if I do it by myself, but I usually have help. Thank goodness. :) So, if anyone is thinking about getting a reptile, hit me up! LOL
:) u know i have always wanted a Breaded Dragon... there so cute... my x bf had one i used to look after... i think that's y i was with him.. hehe.. happy to have u in the group Tiffany... where about's in Vegas are u? i am going to be going down there in late November 2010 early December... going on a vacation and getting married. we going to have a pain free easy wedding.. i love cross stitch and trying to get the hang of latch hook it takes a long time to get anywhere but its still fun :)
well welcome to the group. :)
well welcome to the group. :)

Well my favorite place to read is.....pretty much EVERYWHERE!!!!!...yeah I know.... I need help...LOL..lately I've found myself reading at red lights or sitting in traffic ....what can I say I'm addicted...Sssshhhh..I'm still a very good driver.... :)
Hobbies????? Mmmmmmm....between reading and my 4yr. old daughter (Destiny) and giving some luv to my other big Baby...I pretty much don't have time for anything these days...but I do obsess over music....I'm always online downloading and watching the most recent videos, plugging my Ipod @ work, blasting the radio in the car (of course when I'm not reading), dancing even when I'm cleaning....LOL...and when I say I luv music I luv it all...being Latina might have something to do with it...I don't know!!!!
Something unique about me.....mmmm!?!?!? I always wanted to be an interior designer since I can't remember but ended up taking another route...Accounting..(I know....I luv it what can I say!!!!!)but for some odd reason it always feels like trading spaces in my house...1 day u come into my home and 3 months later u might walk in and feel like u walked into the wrong place...I luv decorating and changing stuff around and buying funky stuff to match any crazy rooms I'm making over.....LOL.....
hey Vivian So happy ur in the group.. i think we are all addicted to reading here one way or the other... i love Twilight i cant wait to see the other movies.. i am rereading twilight right now. and i have to say i am either forgetting a lot or i read it way to fast lol. so now i am reading it nice and slow and trying to pick up all that i forgot which is a lot for some reason.. but:) i am enjoying the reread alot.. :) over all i am so happy we have so many new members... Happy Reading..

Beardies are the lizard that got me into reptiles. I saw one at the petstore and they were so cute. I got one from an online breeder (since I have had bad experiences with petstores) and now I have to say I have two additions-reptiles and books. LOL. My boyfriend is always like "another book?!?" or "another lizard?!?"
I think that Latch Hook is actually a lot easier than cross stitch. I seem to finish them a lot faster too. I still have the huge rug that I made for my parents sitting waiting to be finished though. I ran out of the one color and couldn't find a match since that company went out of business. I did find a similar kit of it and it did have the same color though, so I'm going to finish it soon and give it to them for x-mas.
I think I love x-stitch and LH so much because I'm a perfectionist. Every thing is so uniform and clean in both LH and x-stitch.

I used to do a lot of x-stitch. Have lost count of all the wedding & birth samplers I made over the years. Haven't done any in a few years because it gives me such a headache, even with my glasses. I have a beautiful latch hook rug sitting upstairs in a box just waiting to be finished off. The hooking is all done, it just needs the finishing details. Has been sitting there for I don't know how long! I think I'll put it on my list of things to get done this fall.

The LH I was making for my parents I started when I was in middle school and I'm now almost 25, so it's been awhile. It's all wool and about 3' by 6 or 7' from Shillcraft when they were around.

I have LOTS of loved books and authors, but the consistant tops are Terry Pratchett, Jim Butcher, Katherine Kurtz, and Guy Gavriel Kay.
And something about me? I've been a Homelearner my whole life, I love to travel, and I like to write fiction. As a hobby so far, but we'll see what happens!

Paula - you've listed most of my favorite authors. I haven't read Jim Butcher YET but I'm VERY excited to after seeing him ranked with those awesome authors.

Storm Front won our group's mystery themed group read. We'll all be reading it soon and discussing it starting on 10/1. This series gets tons of praise so I'm sure there will be lots of chit chat about it!

:-)
Up next for me, Storm Glass by Snyder again, then back to Shiver by Stiefvater.

Welcome to the group Vivian! I'm glad I'm not the only one that got completely addicted to all things paranormal after reading twilight! I also get way excited when I see the new moon trailer AND I also read anywhere and everywhere I can including at red lights and it traffic! I think we are long lost twins LOL, LOL
Susan wrote: " also read anywhere and everywhere I can including at red lights and it traffic"
HA! I do that too - though not as much since I started keeping an audiobook available. I remember hoping for a red light so I could finish a good scene sometimes!

My favorite authors are Marion Zimmer Bradley, Charles de Lint, Laurell K Hamilton, Stephen King, and a whole host of others.
I don't have a favorite place to read because I'll do it anywhere at any time. I guess I really do most enjoy reading to my 10 mo. old daughter, Gwendolen. I read her whatever I'm reading and my friends swear that's why she talks as much as she does already!
I don't know if there's anything really unique about me. I'm a Navy wife and my hubby and I are eagerly awaiting the end of his enlistment (just a little over a year to go!). I love moving, so it'll be a little sad to give that up. I've been Pagan for the past 11 years. My hubby and I were handfasted underneath a waterfall the year before we were married. My daughter will probably grow up thinking that her uncle was John Lennon because that's what her room is decorated in and her middle name is "Imagine." I think that counts as unique.
I'm very excited to be a part of this group and can't wait to get to know you all better!
Welcome to the group Kelli!
I recognize (and have read) most of the authors you listed as your favorites but I haven't heard much about Marion Zimmer Bradley... Which series of his has been your favorite? Where would you recommend a newbie begin? :)
By the way... I love your daughter's middle name!

Marion Zimmer Bradley wrote the Mists of Avalon. While I have enjoyed all of her books, that would definitely be the place to start. :)
And thanks!

My favorite authors are Ma..."
I read The Mists of Avalon it must be 25 years ago and still love it! One of my favorites dealing with the Arthurian legends!

Favorite Book/Series - Talisman & Black House, From the Corner of His Eye
Favorite Place to Read - Bed
Any Hobbies - I love to shop, garden, cook new recipes, am addicted to computers, hardware, software, internet you name it!
Something Unique about You - Into electronics in a bad way, have 2 PDA's, would buy more computers if I had the $$, 3 phones (am buying another one shortly), really have a problem with gadgets. Really trying hard not to buy a Kindle 'cause I know I'll never use it, I like to read the old fashioned way. Oraganization freak, I love me!

I am fairly new to GR and I am new to the group. I wanted to take the time to introduce myself as well.
My name is Teresa; I am 30 years old, married and a working mother. My hobbies are reading, photography and video games.
My favorite book series are The Kushiel’s Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey and also The Southern Vampire Series by Charlian Harris (I am not a fan of the tv series based on these books). I also am a fan of Laurel K Hamilton and Kim Harrison.
I can pretty much read anywhere and anytime but if I had to pick a favorite place it would either be in bed or on my couch with a cup of coffee or tea and a snack.
At the moment I can’t think of anything particularly unique about me.
I just wanted to say hello and I look forward to talking with you all.

Favorite book/series: That's a hard one. I love all books having to do with Vampires. It has been an obsession of mine for about 15 years or so. I don't know if I could pick one particular book or series in that genre.
Favorite place to read: In bed, or outside. Summers in Minnesota are short and tempermental, so when I can get out I try to. Otherwise, I always read before I go to sleep.
Hobbies: I don't know that I have any other than I love to read, watch TV and Movies.
Something unique about myself: I am an extreme extravert. I love to be around people and talk to people and be out in public. Which is interesting because I also love to read, which is a very solitary thing.
Welcome to the group Allison & Teresa. Jump in the discussions already going and feel free to start any new threads you want. We're glad to have all the new people!

Favorite Book/Series: Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase is my all time favorite. As far as paranormal, my favorite series is the Immortals After Dark series by Kresley Cole. Some runner ups are The Ghostwalkers by Christine Feehan and The Black Dagger Brotherhood. I also love Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series.
Favorite Place to Read: In bed with the covers pulled up over me.
Any Hobbies (besides the obvious one of reading)
Writing fiction, blogging, gardening, art, movies, tv
Something Unique about You"
I had mumps twice.
