(Lol Bogner is not a fun choir teacher IRL)

Bogner was making his rounds around the classroom handing out copies of the latest music he acquired.
"I know everybody expects Christmas carols at the winter concert," he was saying, "but frankly, I'm tired of the same arrangement of 'Good King Wencelas' and 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer' ... so I've decided to dig up some jazz, soul, and pop numbers out of the music library. This was back when the choir was much smaller, so look on with a partner. We'll just be sight-reading today."

"Get your hands off of her!" sophie said to Jane.

Bogner returned to his place at the podium, and raised his baton for silence.

"Leave her alone!" said Sophie angrily as she smacked Jane.
(Gtg, love you guys)
(Gtg, love you guys)

Sometimes I'm right then I can be wrong
My own beliefs are in my songs
... and Jane, though not the best singer, sang too. Loud, and somewhat obnoxious... on purpose. True to her word, at the end of each phrase, she gave both Sophie and Josie a little pinch on the cheek.
Jane was surprised at the sudden smack, tumbling off the bleachers this time and onto her ass instead of on her feet. She clutched her nose, and when she pulled her hand away was surprised to see a little blood.
The choir students and director were all spinning about and chattering to see what was the matter. Jane got to her feet with no help, and while Bogner was yelling at the two of them, she grinned...
"You little bitch..."
... before the two were immediately set to the principal's office.

"Come on, old man," she muttered, referrencing the vice-principal or the principal whichever decided to come in to chew them out.
"There's no such thing as real friends," she answered bitterly hold a tissue under her nose as it continued to bleed a little... "...you punch like a wimp. Eat more Wheaties and maybe you'll break my nose one day."

"Not hurt. Just keep things exciting. And why should I? Goody two-shoes you two have been and what has it gotten you? A bunch of bitches calling you names behind your back and planting threatening notes in your locker... guys who won't give you a time of day; they're only interested in you as an object anyway..." - her easygoing tone shifted into one almost hateful - "Friends are only friends as long as you're useful or appealing to them..."
Sophie mouthed "be careful" to Josie.

He eased himself into the chair behind his desk with a groan, "What's this all about?"
Jane opened her mouth to comment, but the principal hushed her. He made it very clean he didn't want her side of the story... just Josie and Sophie.
Sophie reaches out to pat Josie's leg but pulls her hand away.
"I got mad and hit Jane" said Sophie.

"Well, I can't let you off the hook easy since there was violence involved. Deason, detention for the next three days. You can't go around punching people in the nose. And Blackwell, you know the drill... in-school suspension, goes on your record, I'll be notifying your father... not that you care."
Jane sighed. Her parents were going to be livid she was suspended... again. But what were they going to do? They'd probably be too busy to care.
"You mess up one more time and I'll be forced to kick you out; you'll have to find another school to put up with your shenanigans because God knows I won't anymore. Understand?"
"Yes sir..." was all Jane said.
The principal ushered them out of his office.
As the three of them walked down the halls to their appropriate third period classes, Jane trailed behind the other two... "Happy now? One more shenanigan and you guys will never have to worry about me again."
"Then you will have to stop picking on us"

"You should come watch," said Sophie. "The team is amazing."

"Oh, be nice," Sophie said as she pulled away. "But I guess I won't be alone anymore"
"Yeah. Are you ready?" asks Sophie.

... and then at the sight of the blonde, "Fuck, she's hot..." - she heard her name and cringed, "Blackwell. It's Blackwell. Not Jane." ... and she shook the blonde's hand.

"Oh wow, you too," said Sophie as she smirked.

Since moving to this new school, over a month ago, she hadn't made an attempt to make any friends and was used to being lonely.
Sophie walked up to Aiofe. "Hi. I'm Sophie. Welcome to the school."

"Hi Sophie, I'm Aoife, I only started here a month ago."
"How are you doing?" asked Sophie

Jane Blackwell slunk down the hallway with her messenger bag thrown sloppily over one shoulder, hands in both of her baggy jean pockets. She stopped next to Sophie with a devious grin, and elbowed her in the side, just hard enough to cause Sophie to stumble a little.
"Aren't you going to introduce me, Deason?"
"Oh...yes. Aiofe, this is Jane Blackwell," said Sophie.

Her eyes scanned the new girl like a butcher eyeing a piece of meat. Hungrily. Wow, new kid's quite a cutie
"Well I'm sorry. I thought it would be good for her to know your first name in case she ever needs it" said Sophie.

"Yeah" says Sophie as shakes Jane's hand away
