Greetings and Welcome!

This club was started with the intent of being able to discuss a book that your normal book club may not be covering any time soon (or, if not involved in a book club, just didn't have anyone to discuss the book with).

It is a self-governing group. The moderator is here to handle maintenance issues and behind-the-scenes issues (like starting new folders).

Below are just some general guidelines to help keep this a happy place:

1. Please be curteous. Comments that are considered by the moderator as malicious or a direct attack on another member (or members) will be removed. If said member continues to make such comments, member will be removed from group.

That said, freedom of speech is still lawful, so moderator will NOT be censoring comments. You are free to be offended by anything said here. You are also free to discontinue your participation should such offense be considered against your moral or ethical standards. Let's try to veer towards passionate debate rather than bar room brawl though when possible.

2. This is a self-governing group, meaning the participants get to determine how they want to discuss a certain book. Please note how one book is discussed (for example, it could be broken down by individual chapters) may be different than how another book is discussed (perhaps by grouping chapters that are related--perhaps not breaking it down at all and just discussing the book as a whole). If the group is unable to determine how to discuss it, it will default to the person who asked for the book to be listed. And that person will make the final decision.

3. Each book will have its own folder. Each folder will be listed in alphabetical order for ease of locating a book.

If you do not see a book listed that you want to discuss, please post your title and author under the thread "I want to talk about..." and the moderator will start a new folder for you.

4. If you have any questions for the moderator, please post them in the General Club Info folder and not in a book folder. This will allow your questions to be answered in a more timely manner.

Thanks for participating. Happy reading!

One addendum:

Authors who wish to promote their own books may only do so in the Author's Corner folder. Any promotional posts in other folders will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be removed from the group.

This rule has already been stated in the Author's Corner folder, but it is being repeated here in hopes that all authors will see it.
