Christina | 247 comments What do you read besides cozy mysteries? I know that seems an impossible question, but sometimes I have to take a break from the genre.
Right now is one of those times for me.
I am reading To The Edge by Cindy Gerard.

I tend not to read outside cozies but when I do I enjoy reading Stephanie Bond. Her books have violence, sex and language. I enjoy her body movers series.

☺T°ù¾±²õ³ó I read pretty much everything . . . but besides cozy mysteries (I've been recently enjoying the Supper Club Mystery series by J. B. Stanley), I also love memoirs (Warwick Davis' was excellent), police procedurals (such as the Inspector Lynley books by Elizabeth George), fantasy books (I LOVE all of Neil Gaiman's books, but especially The Graveyard Book, Neverwhere, Stardust, Anerican Gods, Anansi Boys, and Coraline), so many different genres, so very many great books, so little time!

Stef | 18 comments I do love my classics, ranging from the mid 19th century to the mid 20th, Britain, Germany, US: Austen, Bronte, Dickens, Mann, Hesse, Faulkner, Lawrence, Hemingway...
I do go back to them ever so often.
I also read cookbooks all the time - scanning, scanning for the really good inspirations!
I read thrillers as they are given to me out of a sense of duty. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I put the book into my "presents outgoing" box because I simply can't deal with it.
Chick Lit - sometimes, but it's been a very long time since I read anything like Sophie Kinsella, I go more for the romantic suspense thing these days. I guess I'm too old now for somebody not opening credit card bills in hope of them just going away...
I love the books by Sheila Roberts though, where the focus is more on the importance of friendship than on being "in". Or something like "Just for the summer" by Judy Astley.

Christina | 247 comments I finished Killing Kennedy by Bill O'Reily the other day. I LOVED that book!!!!! I learned some much about what was going on in the United States and around the world at that time. Learned more about Oswald than I ever learned in school. It was an AWESOME book and a nice break to get me back in the mood of reading cozies!!!! Happy Reading Everyone!!!!

I'm currently reading Standing Next to History: An Agent's Life Inside the Secret Service - Sometimes I enjoy good NonFiction reads.

Jeanie Jackson I enjoy romance and suspense. Just finished an awesome "new adult" book called The Story of You and Me by Pamela DuMond. It is a romance with depth and heart.

I also enjoy Christian Fiction and am currently reading A Most Unsuitable Match by Stephanie Grace Whitson. It's very good so far.

I just finished Burial Rites by Hannah Kent. It's nothing like a cozy. It's about the last execution in Iceland in the 1800s. It's a depressing subject but very well written.

Now I am back on the cozy wagon. Charlaine Harris/Shakespeare's Christmas.
