Lys (lysrowan) The July-September Challenge is a Grab Bag!
A grab bag is
1.A container from which a person chooses a wrapped item at random, without knowing the contents.
2.An assortment of miscellaneous items.
You know, like the ones you used to pick up at yard sales?

What Came Before:

As you can see here (http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...), several members of the club got together and generated a lot of challenge ideas. Those ideas were pared down to a grab bag of 100, which is listed below. I tried to give credit where it was due, but I am sure I made some omissions. Thank you everyone for your help. :)

The Rules

Anyone who wants to participate in the challenge can do one of two things:
1) Post your interest in participating and tell me (approx) how many bags you are interested in "grabbing". I will then randomly assign you your bags.

2) Go to random.org or dicelog.com or any random number generator/dieroller that you prefer (or just roll two d10s at home) and use the corresponding number to determine your bag. You may "grab" as many bags as you want - but the fun is to go with whatever is generated, so don't roll 3 times and then only use the third bag.

Because the bags have different levels of challenges represented (3 books, 7 books, maybe far more - ie: finish a series), you may decide that one bag is quite challenging or you might want to do quite a few. That is fine. Just post your "bags" (your challenges) and track your progress.

No doubling up on books, even if you have multiple bags!

Any acronym/ spell out challenges can use author's last name, book title or series title unless otherwise stated in the directions for the individual challenge.

Anyone who reads 15 books or more and completes their grab bag(s), will be eligible to win a prize in the form of a $10 gift card. The winner will be selected randomly out of the list of completed challenges.

As an added incentive, I will randomly select a "bag" (#1-100) at the end of the challenge and anyone who completed that bag will also get a prize. Whether the number of people who completed that bag is 1 or 6, everyone who completed it will win.

You can plan your books now, but don't start reading until July 1!

Have fun!

BTW, thanx for pointing that out Alyssia, & I fixed it.

Bobbie, for 84, you can use author's last name or series information, but for 41 you would want to just use title.

I added a clarificatory note. Thank you.

If you want to map things out, go ahead. But don't read until July 1.

If you need a different one, let me know. Some of them are very hard for certain people. I would have a hard time with "accessory" too. Do socks count as an accessory?
