It is an addiction you can at least feel good about!

Boy, that looks good Beth! National Book Award winner too....! I'm a sucker for those. I've added it to my TBR mtn. You'll have to let me know what you think when you get to the end.

Currently I'm a quarter of the way into The Forest of Hands and Teeth, which is an awesome title, by the way. There was so much buzz among my GR friends about it, and I'm using it for the challenge. It's great so far!

I'm also reading a book about eating disorders, Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson. It's a topic I used to read a lot of books on when I was younger, not so much anymore. It's also the first book of hers I've read since Speak, when I was 18. I'm also not too keen on books written in verse.

I read The Giver for the first time as an adult and was really impressed. It's a quick read, but powerful.

The Giver is one of my favorite books. Ever.

I just received The Truth About Forever from Paperback Swap after reading Lock and Key and really enjoying it! I sent it on to my 14 year old cousin.
Have you read Lock and Key? Did you enjoy The Truth about Forever? Anxious to get some input!! :)

I liked Lock and Key, and coincidentally I just recommended it to MY 14 year old cousin who read it last week! This Lullaby is on my list for the challenge.

I just finished that last night. I can't wait to hear what you think. I started a topic so I could talk about it, over at "Books Young People Should Read."
Kristen wrote: "If I finish this nonfiction book I'm reading tonight I'm going to start Touching Darkness."
I think Touching Darkness is my favorite of the Midnighters trilogy. I hope you enjoy it! He's one of my favorite teen authors writing now.
Jamie wrote: "It's been said that it's sort of a combination of Harry Potter and Jane Austen, which is a plus for me!"
I really enjoyed the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede and I've heard good things about Sorcery and Cecilia, but no one ever described it to me like that! If they had I would have read it a long time ago. I know my library has it, so I'm going to pick it up next week. :)

I haven't, but I think I'll have to look into this some more. I'll be sure to check out the Enchanted Forest Chronicles since you've mentioned them!

They're a wonderful, funny series. The first is Dealing With Dragons. They look at fairy tales from a very different slant.
