Smoke Screen
question
Smoke Screen SOOOO like another book SPOILER!!

funny how the world works sometimes, isn't it?
I read Smoke Screen (pub Jan 08) in book form and purely co-incidentally at the same time, was listening to Kenyon's Dark Side of the Moon (pub Nov o6). How's this for co-incidence? Both heroines are disgraced journalists, both are extreme orphans (no cousins etc either), both heroes have been badly damaged for something not their fault (SS-framed for murder and DSoM-hero was murdered by brother after he was betrayed by his mate who was responsible for the murders of his family and village). But wait, there's more... Hero kidnaps heroine and go on run from the bad guys. Take away the props (Kenyon's Dark Hunters and Brown's city) and as far as I can see you have virtually the same book. Honestly, I had to remind myself which book I was reading/listening.
Personally I prefer Kenyon's writing and could have put Brown's book down but I wanted to see how far this "co-incidence" would go.
PLEASE tell someone out there has thought the same thing??
Annie
