John Beachem | 373 comments I remember laughing out loud a few times while reading [Book: Neverwhere]. The one that really got me was the description of Mr. Croup and Mr. Vandemar (Also they looked nothing alike...). Mr. Croup's use of the fine, China gift from the Marquis got me, as did Richard's reason for having Trolls all over his desk at work.

Libby | 242 comments I really like the explanation of the Trolls as well - I can certainly see that happening in any office setting.

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1020 comments In some bits yeah, but I don't think it was laugh-out-loud funny or anything.

It's definitely not as laugh-out-loud funny as [Book: Good Omens], but I chuckled pretty frequently through it. Maybe it's just me, but that "Also they looked nothing alike" line had me struggling for breath.

colleen the convivial curmudgeon (blackrose13) I don't think it's really laugh-out-loud funny, but I definitely appreciate the sardonic humor. I chuckled a bunch of times, and wore a grin through lots of it. Then again, it's rather rare that I laugh-out-loud for books, anyway.

Chris Haught (haughtc) | 916 comments It made me smirk at the very least. Like blackrose I appreciated the sardonic humor. What I like about Gaiman's humor is that while it's British, I still get it...

Cody (snakewind) On Terry Goodkind's book. Zedd does make me laugh in my mind, but it made me smile. Zedd is crazy old man wizard eating too much food!

Libby | 242 comments I find the conversations between Mr. Croup and Mr. Vandemar pretty entertaining. It's great dark humor. For example, on pg 74-75 - an exchange occurring right after Vandemar stabs his own hand and there is a noticeable lack of bleeding -

"Mr. Croup turned out the light. 'Oh, Mister Vandemar,' he said, enjoying the sound of the words, as he enjoyed the sound of all words, 'if you cut us, do we not bleed?'

Mr. Vandemar pondered this for a moment, in the dark. Then he said, with perfect accuracy, 'No.'"

Hah! I forgot about that one. Very good.

Christy Stewart (christyleighstewart) I laughed at all the violent parts.

Robin (robinsullivan) | 629 comments Good Omens had me LOL'ing a lot. I can't say that I ever LOL'd in this one but there were a few places that made me crack a smile. Usually it involved Mr. Croup and Vandamer.
