Alicja (darkwingduckie7) | 171 comments Just wondering if I need to repost my questions... I already read the summer school one and I'm just waiting to hear whether to post it or not. From my previous post:

"Another question, for the school book would summer school (between years of high school) be ok? They are still attending classes in this novel.

And would Tokyo be considered a coastal city (for the lighthouse challenge) since it only lies off a bay (the bay does flow out into open ocean)?"

Cheryl | 178 comments @Alicja--Yes on both questions.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3108 comments Would you consider New York City to be a coastal city since it is surrounded by water on one side.

Cheryl | 178 comments @Jayme(the ghost reader)--This was a difficult one for me to answer. I was not sure. So, I looked up info on NYC and found out it is considered on a natural harbor. That did not help me make up my mind. So, I looked up harbor and felt that the definition there would indicate that NYC could be included in the category of "coastal city." So, yes, Jayme, I will consider NYC good.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) | 3108 comments sweet thanks!

Alicja (darkwingduckie7) | 171 comments For 20.3 Woman’s equlaity day: In honor of the Woman’s Equality Day, can the cause be a war? I was thinking of reading Mr. Churchill's Secretary where she, based on the description, foils an assassination plot of Churchill. Or would this be too much of a stretch?

Cheryl | 178 comments @Alicja, I am sorry, but I am going to rule that goes outside of the intent of that particular task...but the book does sound fascinating to me! ;-)

Alicja (darkwingduckie7) | 171 comments That's ok. I've got another one... For the Check-mate: Read a HF book which has the name of a chess piece in the title, sub-title or series name: King, Queen, Bishop, Rook, Knight, Pawn category, if I read The Winter King, does that qualify as historical fiction? It is a King Arthur story but does not use magic (apparently from what I read it presents what could have really happened) but since it is a myth/legend I wasn't sure if it qualifies as historical fiction or more as a fantasy?

(this is for the purpose of determining if I can add HF points to it)

message 61: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl | 178 comments @Alicja, I will count that as HF.
