... but I expect I will eventually get a PS4 somewhere down the road. I never liked the XBox controllers... :P
i am leaning to the ps4 this time, but i will be hanging back for awhile. im going to wait and see if any hardware issues develop, as with the 360 red ring of death.

Having said that I ended up with a 360 and PS3 and have still got a pile of games I haven't played on either, so I'll probably sit out the this fight until the prices come down (both are overpriced, the One even more so).

It was my understanding that the general consensus was that the PS3 won this round. Mostly due to the Play Station Network, Bluray player, and reliability.
But in any case, I'll echo others and say that I'm content to wait several years before I buy an new console. The Xbox One looks pretty bad, and I don't like the changes they are making to the Play Station Network. So for the next few years my primary console will be my PC.

Yeah, I'm not rushing out to buy one. (I'm especially uncomfortable with the growing notion that these console must to be connected to the Internet.)
It's interesting that neither of the two next-generation consoles are backward compatible with their predecessors (meaning I'm still going to need my PS3 to play the games I have been enjoying the last few years.) It also means there's no particular reason for brand loyalty (an Xbox One is as good as a PS4; neither plays my old games.)
The current listing of debut games for both platforms seem pretty dull to me. I'm moderately interested in the next Dragon Age, but that will apparently have PS3 version as well as new platform versions (unless EA changes its mind in the next year.)
OTOH, If Mirrors Edge 2 were to actually happen, I might have to rethink my position.

I used to play on PS2 but now I when I play it's a X-box360.And I don't want the One,it won't be compatible with the games I currently play.And I don't like the recognition idea.

PS4 released last week, XBoxOne friday...i sat them both out...how about you?
if you took the plunge, what system and what games?
if you took the plunge, what system and what games?

Why get the PS4 or XBOne now when there are so few games, and basically no good ones?
The new Consoles will be hitting the stores soon...what will you be buying? Will you be in the long lines on day one? Or will you be like me and hang back, and wait and see how sales go before buying?
