I would love to do Good Omens, has that been done? I have The Stand so I'd be up for that. I'd quite like to read Dune too.
No we've not read Good Omens as a group although I'd imagine most of us have read it at some point, seeing what Gaiman fans we are :)
I'd be up for a re-read anyway so will also vote Good Omens.
Unbelievably I've never read The Hitchhikers guide :o so that is my second vote, and no 3 goes to The Grapes of Wrath by Steinbeck cause I love it!

"Wuthering Heights" or "Grapes of Wrath"!

Ah, thanks! I suggested it for purely selfish reasons, it's on my Reading Resolutions list! Will I pick a different book to replace it then?
You know what? Just leave it if you want to. I think those of us who read it would probably agree that it didn't get the discussion it deserved:)

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Funny as hell)
Animal Farm (Always wanted to read this)
Anna Karenina (Another one that I want to read!)
But I'm open to other suggestions - and if I could have voted for a fourth book, it would have been To Kill a Mockingbird

Mort
A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations: Two Novels I have this on my Kindle, and I need something to get me to read it.
My votes are for
- I read it over 10 years ago when I had read the first 4 discworld novels and was thinking now that I know who Gaimen is I really should reread it since it's by 2 of my favourite authors
I recently read Cannery Row and I have read Of Mice and Men - Steinbeck captivates me and I now want to read all his books
This is really high up my list of books that has been recommended so many times that it perplexes (and irritates ;) me that I haven't read it yet.

Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch
David Copperfield I keep meaning to read some Dickens this year.
The Secret HistorySo many people I know have recommended this, but I still haven't got round to reading it.

Good Omens IIIIII
Hitchhikers Guide IIII
Grapes of Wrath III
Breige - even if you made a final vote for any of the other books Good Omens would still be in the lead by at least 1 vote (just so you know I didn't forget about your extra vote:)

Voting is simple: Everyone nominates (only) 3 books and every book you choose gets one point. Voting will be open for 1 week and will close on Sunday night.
If you don't have time to read a new book from the list then vote for an old favourite (so no excuses for not joining in lol) and you can change your votes right up until the last minute.
There will be no poll - the top voted book will be our next read!
