Some guide lines for the authors. You can also leave feedback here:

- Authors when you post a topic for a R4R (Read for Reviews), subscribe for this specific topic, so that you will know if someone is requesting the book.

- Don't forget to link the book page with the R4R topic.

- You can set a limit to the copies you are giving away and a time until your R4R request is valid.

- You can set various rules. For example you can set a time-frame in which you want the review posted on GR. Some people read quicker, some slower. If you do give such a limit give at least 2 or 3 weeks for the reviewer depending on the length of the novel.

- You can request the review to be posted on Amazon as well [or a publisher website].

- If a reviewer is not reviewing your book, you may notify me. I can't do anything about the review but if there is such cases we can think of something. Maybe I will contact the person, or create a blacklist ... I haven't figure that out yet, since no one has complained yet.

See AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Good reads for everyone ;)

David Wind (davidwind) | 9 comments Ellie, I've got a good book, with two fairly well known authors and 1 strong reviewer each giving the book 5 stars, I'm looking to get more reviews before the 2/15 release date, yet I can't seem to get a single taker. Any thoughts? The book is Born To Magic, the first of a series.

Hi David, it can bi difficult to find reviewers. Maybe you can post in your review that you are exchanging the book for an honest review, as well as some other groups. There are a couple of R4R and ARC (advanced reader copy) groups or maybe even a fantasy group would be suitable for your book.

I think it is best to ask other authors for advice.

Charles Vella | 10 comments Hi Ellie,

How do you subscribe to a topic? I've posted an offer for reviews and haven't been able to figure out how to subscribe to the R4R topic. (Probably a stupid question, but I'm not very tech savvy.) Thanks for your help.

Hi Charles,

thank you for asking. It is quite simple in fact.
On the page of YOUR topic jut after the last comment click this option:

It will change to "You are now following this discussion". What will happen is you will receive an email for new comments. If you prefer to receive instead an onsite notification and no emails, just click the little edit next to it, and choose notification only:

P.S. For my example it shows I am following all discussions in this group because I am, but for you it will say you are following this topic.

Edit: To unsubscribe choose edit again and then none (the bottom option), or go to edit profile - click the email tab and scroll down the page. You will see all topics you are subscribed to.

Bill Douglas | 1 comments Editorial Reviews
Review
"Bill Douglas is one of the most remarkable writers of our generation ... on a par with Charles Dickens. Douglas plucks the strings of suspense with expert craftsmanship that rivals D. W. Griffith's Intolerance or Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds ..."
- David W. Menefee Review:
Pulitzer nominated American author

A Conspiracy of Spirits - Wall Street vs. The 99% ... [involves] metaphysical elements blended into the fierce struggle between those few who have hoarded extremely concentrated amounts of wealth, and everybody else... riveting... refreshingly original from cover to cover, and will keep the reader guessing until the very end.
-- Midwest Book Review

"A Conspiracy of Spirits is about conflict between powerful private interests and the global good ... pitting innocense against greed."
-- David M. Caditz Ph.D., former Director of the Stanford University Solar Vehicle Project

"This is a story the world needs to hear! ... with as much wisdom as suspense."
-- Rev. Nathaniel G. Haaland

Rhianna Abeel | 1 comments In The Hunger games, Katniss is determined to win the games, but when the game makers say that tributes from the same team can both win, she is determined to find Peeta and win the games together. A quote in the book states "The idea of actually losing Peeta hit me again and I realized how much I don't want him to die. And it's not about the sponsors. And it's not about what will happen back home. And it's not just that I don’t want to be alone. It's him. I do not want to lose the boy with the bread." This quote shows that no matter if their supposed to be enemies, Katniss cannot let Peeta die.
