Ran this by a couple other admins, and we agree.
The ISBN should go with the published edition, and the note that it is an ARC with the one that is an ARC.
Thanks for bringing this up, Monique!

When creating an ACE, we mark the new cover with a Librarian note and a notation in the description that this is an alternate cover edition for xxxx ISBN/ASIN.
I was recently asked to create an ACE, but the "original" cover was for an ARC. The notation was added the same as I always do it.
But, it occurred to me that maybe, if the change is from an ARC to an officially published copy, the notations should read differently. Maybe in the ARC copy we make a notation that this is an ARC cover and we make no notation in the "officially published" edition. It seems kind of counter intuitive to me that the first print run has a notation that this is an alternate cover edition.
Thoughts?
