This thread is for the participants to post their list and update their progress. The suggestions thread is located HERE.


1. 'O' is for October: Read a book that starts with 'O' or a book whose author's first or last name starts with 'O'.

2. Member of the Month � Caroline: Caroline has been a member of the RRRC since 2011. Here is the link to Caroline's Shelves Please read a book from any of Caroline's shelves or a book published in 2011.

3. Geography: Read a book whose author, character or setting is from Idaho.

Facts about Idaho:
★Idaho is also known as the “Gem� State. Idaho produces 72 types of precious and semi-precious stones.
★Idaho is the No. 1 producer of Potatoes, Trout, Austrian Winter Peas and Lentils. -
★Shoshone Falls at 212 feet drops 52 feet further than Niagra Falls.

You can also read a book with jewelry on the cover or part of the plot. Or read a book with a farmer or rancher. Or read a book where characters spend majority of their time outside or involved in some type of outdoor recreation.

4. National Cookie Month: Enjoy the sweet flavor of cookies. Read a book with dessert on the cover (chocolate, cupcakes, cakes, etc). OR read a book that has food, cooking, baking a big part of the plot.

5. Fire Prevention Day (October 9): Read a book where character fights/investigates fire. OR where a fire plays major role in the plot line.

6. Columbus Day (October 14): Land, ho! Read a book/author you “discovered.� OR read the first book in a series.

7. Sweetest Day (October 19): Read a book that was recommended by your friend or a special someone. OR Read a sweet OR clean romance.

8. National Nut Day (October 22): Read a book where a character is focused on healthy eating and exercise. OR Read a book that is a sports romance.

9. Happy Halloween (October 31): Boo! Read a book where the characters are in costumes OR read a paranormal romance (vampires, shifters, witches, etc).

10. Reader's Choice: Read any book of your choice.


You can choose 3, 5, 8 or all 10 categories depending on your reading speed, book availability and/or time commitment.

When posting your challenge progress, please make sure to put the date/s when you finished your book/s.
