The Storyteller
question
What do you think about Sage and Leo?

Specifically, how they got together? It bothers me that Sage falls in love with men after funerals of the ones she loves. It's almost as if she falls in love with the idea of someone taking care of her, instead of falling in love with the person.

I thought Sage and Leo were two people who felt like they were "different" and would never find true love. Each felt safe in their own worlds and meeting each other opened up a whole new outlook towards what a relationship could and should be.

What you have stated is true to some extent, She had a relationship with Adam because she liked the idea of someone taking care of her as she saw herself as a monster(she hates herself basically), which can be seen as insecurity as duly pointed out by Mary and Adam of course just wants her body but as the story progresses especially after meeting with Leo, she sees herself as a normal woman with a scar(she starts to love herself) which is much more important note to take into consideration and Leo for that matter likes her and instead of her body.
