Just tore through Mockingjay (great ending to a terrific series). and also working on Microserfs (fun) which I had set aside for awhile, and some textbooks.

planning on picking up dragon tattoo fairly soonish, once I catch up on my Anna Karenina reading.

I'm currently reading 3 things, but they're different so maybe it will work out...Leaves of Grass (a nice wake up book), Time for One More Dance (which I've been reading before bed), and Swann's Way (which I've been carrying with me).

I just recently finished reading Pandora's Daughter by Iris Johansen and have now started reading I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak, I'm about halfway through the book and I'm enjoying it.

I loved I Am the Messenger! I'm about to finish An American Tragedy.

I am reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman and it is really good so far.

I'm reading The Great Typo Hunt: Two Friends Changing the World, One Correction at a Time. The writing style is great and it's really funny so far.

I'm currently reading Smoke and Mirrors by Tanya Huff, which is the second book in the Tony Foster series.. I'm only about 60 pages in, but I think it's better than the first book.. didn't really like the first one, but my friend has loaned all three books in the series to me, so I thought I'd continue with the second one

"If I Stay" is a fabulous book & I've just finished the follow up "Where I Went" - equally wonderful. Will be out in 2011.

I am reading Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse and so far it seems like a very good book.

At the moment I'm reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaimain - it's fairly good. It's a children's one kind of though, but Neil Gaimain is wonderful anyway.

I just finished Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte - which I didn't enjoy the first half, but I thought it picked up in the back half.

And when I finish TGB I'm going to read The Great Gatsby.

Thanks for the suggestion I've been trying to get into suspense novels lately that or mysteries.

Right now I'm still reading Robinson Crusoe after almost four months. I'm also reading The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. And just started Broadway Vampire.

Grain de Beaute The Summoning is a great Trilogy I absolutley loved the characters and the story! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I'm currently reading Secrets of the Flesh: A Life of Colette by Judith Thurman, which is "that Colette biography" that Lorelai references before their roadtrip. I'm reading it because I'm at the end of my rope and need to be reading something not for class, but I can't depart from the real world long enough to indulge in fiction AND because I'm trying to live vicariously through Lorelai--I'd love to skip town for a few days. I really like this book so far. I think it's well-written and is quite interesting. Colette certainly marched to the beat of her own drum. We also had similar relationships with our mothers (from what I've read so far), which creates even more of a connection.

I'm reading Jane Eyre and A Christmas Carol, and both are really good so far.

I currently have a few things going, all for pleasure. I'm reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Brideshead Revisited, and The Happiness Project. All are going quite well.

I think for 2011, I want to focus on reading the classics from Rory's list. This year I had a set number of books that I wanted to read and I started grabbing anything as long as it was quick, which is SO not my reading ideal. I decided to abandon hitting that goal, by the way. I read for enlightenment, escape, NOT to hit a goal.

At the moment, I am technically reading about four books:
- Looking for Alaska by John Green (an amazing book that I definitely recommend, this is a re-read).
- The Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins (it's about evolution which I find very interesting as I am studying Environmental Biology at university)
- Fallen by Lauren Kate (which is terrible so far, and I don't know why I'm still reading it, but I will finish it); and
- The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks (which is okay I suppose, but it's not living up to the hype, I'm afraid).

Usually I have a balance of classic and modern literature that I'm reading, but lately I haven't been reading as many classics, which is kind of annoying. Hopefully I'll get back into it soon.

At the moment I'm reading 2 books at the same time, which I normally don't do. I started The Complete Tales of Beatrix Potter a week ago, and The Vampire Lestat yesterday.

Well, I finished The Happiness Project and Brideshead Revisited. Both were pretty good, especially Brideshead. I can't wait to see the movie. Now I'm focusing on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I think it would be a fantastic coup for me to finish it before school starts on Monday, but I have quite a few other things I want to do as well, so we'll see.

Lori, I loved the writing in Brideshead Revisited, it's just beautiful prose. The movie's pretty good too.

Dini, I know that there were multiple versions of the film. Which would you recommend?

Lori, the one I watched was the newer version, made several years ago I think. I remember Emma Thompson played Sebastian's mother.

I'm currently reading Tropic of Cancer. Since finishing Brideshead, I haven't been able to stick with any of the books I've started, so I hope this one sticks. It's pretty...interesting.

I am currently reading The Book Thief and The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. They are both kind of heavy and I think I may need something that light to complement them!

Just started Cleopatra: A Life, by Stacy Schiff.

I'm reading The Hare with Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal. It's extremely detailed but very interesting. I loved Brideshead but I didn't enjoy the most recent film at all.

I'm reading Invisible by Paul Auster. I have always been fascinated by his imagination and talent to create beautiful characters and this book has captured me from page one already.

I think I am reading too many books to handle them, but I hope I'll finish all... I think my list of books I am reading at the moment is somewhere at 11-12... and besides those, there is the literature for school... international macroeconomics and such....

At the moment, I'm "reading" about six books according to my "currently reading" shelf, but really I'm just reading "The Third Day, The Frost" by John Marsden (it's the third book in the Tomorrow series which are very good books, although I'm a bit old for them now) as well as "Shades of Grey" by Jasper Fforde (which is also very good, although I'm not very far into it).

I'm curious about "how" you read six books at a time. I have four or five usually on my currently reading, but usually some of mine are like ... all the fairy tales of Hans Christian Anderson, which I can only read a few of and then I want something else. And sometimes I do set one down to read another, for a challenge, or for me, or whatever ... just wondered?

The movie is so sad and depressing

I found the movie to be annoying. I don't know, I just didn't like it very much, while I absolutely loved the book.

I just finished Anna Karenina and then Reading Lolita in Tehran, and needed a fun, light read. I am now reading Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and it fits the bill perfectly. As to all of you who can read 5 or 6 books at a time, I don't know how you do it. Even when I was still in school and had to read that many books a week for class, I had to read one after another- not all at once. I have tried reading several books at a time, but I end up not really getting into any of them as much as I do when I lose myself in one book at a time. I guess my brain doesn't work that way?

As I usually do when feeling kind of blah, I'm picking up Sylvia Plath's journals. I don't know why I always turn to them when I'm feeling low, but they help me feel better, in a way.

I'm reading this now too! I saw the movie and loved it so I just got the book and started it yesterday, love the book too! Such a great story!

Just finished The Surfer by Robb Skidmore. I really recommend it. Its a shorter read - novella size but packs a punch. Great book.

The Help I'm not that far in but its my spring break so I'm hoping to get a lot of reading in this week

The movie compliments the book. It makes it more clear. Better read the book first so you won't get lost just in case the movie fails to tell the whole story.

Reading Death with Interruptions & Olive Kitteridge right now. Both have been on my "to be read" list for a long time.

Actually, I've been reading "Olive K" for a while but I find I want to savor it, as it's really beautifully written. Since it's a collection of short stories, I'm able to flip back and forth without losing my step.
