(( OMG. They are. Sorry, I'm new at this. Do y'all just want to go against each other this time because there isn't another team? Or would you like to wait for another person to sign up?))

Yo Kate, let's do dis...cheers.
Think kids perform to nurture their interest and talent towards dancing, acting, singing etc; and think it doesn't qualify as labor. As those are socially accepted as 'talents' and I consider them as a part of childhood. Don't think these 'talents' are morally, socially, physically, psychologically harmful.
It paves way for money and fame and eventually it balances out the strenuous activities of acting, singing etc. So where's the labor in there if you're rich, talented and famous in the eye of the society lol. In fact they become inspiration to many...
If not performer then what? Studies only? What about the pressure of academic performances? I mean they'd just go ahead and ban schools and grades as children kill themselves because of studies more than that of being factory workers slaves or anything else..
I is really interested to see your take on this Kate.
PS: Just woke up so ignore the grammatical/spelling errors.. (:

Some nice points there.
Human nature don't allow itself to suppress the 'talent' if it's shown. They go hard and grab it. Psychological effects are a little, uncertain price one has to pay.
Things like "this ugly bitch should kill herself" are basically haters, trolls; they get responses like "what are you whinging about? how many people really know that you even exist?"
Simply put, there are supporters and haters; usually haters make more noises. It's not like everyone loves everything; they sing, act for kids not expecting adult fans to dig it or judge them on their parameters. Talk about Justin Beiber; almost every adult hates that kid; but he has a big fan base for which he still makes songs for. Sometimes negative feedback help people to prosper. Make them matured if they utilize them too. And they are not unknown to it...
Kids are smart enough to understand what's going around all that fame. Talk to this generation's 9-10 year olds (you must have); most of them are smarter than me and that's not surprising...
When some child actors grow up being not as famous as they used to be, maybe it's cause they were appreciated as children actors and not as adult actors.. or it maybe cause of they weren't good with their contracts/contacts/later choices; could be many of such things, not just psychological..
Like sports, in this extremely competitive world; talents like acting, singing, dancing etc is nurtured from childhood, if the level has to be elite; and who would not want to showcase them if end of the day everyone's happy, rich and entertained...
It gives scope to follow the dream that's not confined in just books and ultimately behind a desk in a cubicle...A bird's gotta fly..
((Take your time)) (:
((Yeah. Don't feel rushed or anything. Debate for how ever long. I haven't got any other debate battles to manage, so it's fine. :)))
Som- for child performers
Kaylee- against child performances.
