The Randomiser Challenge - 2014

I'm so sorry about that Alison. I shall add you now. Thanks for letting me know. Good luck.

Lol my first try, the random generator gave me 45 and 225 twice out of 267 possibilities :P I clicked "Again!" and will go with the second list instead.
The randomly generated results are:
34. Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
56. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
57. The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith
79. In Search of Lost Time by Marcel Proust
84. Martin Eden by Jack London

141. A Small Fortune by Audrey Braun
155. Black Skin, White Masks by Frantz Fanon
204. The Robber Bride by Margaret Atwood
220. Empire Falls by Richard Russo
Really excited for most of these - quite a few classics that I've never read and desperately need to. I won't necessarily read them in this order. Maybe I'll assign them numbers 1-10 and randomly generate to decide which one to read next!

James if you go to the tab at the top of the page called "My Books" it will list your books. On the left side of that page is a tab called to-read. Click on that and each of your to-read books has a number. Look for the book numbers that corresponds to your randomizer numbers.

I am a thankful old dog, awaiting new tricks learned.
Thank you, Jodi.

Hi Jordan. I've added you. Welcome and good luck. Feel free to update your goal at any time.

Awesome challenge goal Jaclyn. Good luck and welcome to the challenge.

Well that's my goal for the YEAR. Did I read it wrong? Is this a monthly challenge? In that case, I'd definitely change my number! I'm just trying to get through my TBR and this challenge seems great to help me get through it!

Jaclyn this is definitely a yearly challenge. I get excited when people have high goals. Actually, using your logic that helps me work out how many I should aim for in the year. Thank you.

Awesome! Then yes, 52...one per week. My goal for 2013 was 100, which was too ambitious! I think I'm gonna end up at around 80 or so. So next year, I'm aiming much smaller to start off, and if I need to increase it, then I can. I'm very excited about this challenge...it's always hard for me to decide what to read next!

I don't know of an easy way to find the books but there are 20 per page so I counted out approximately where they would be, rather than clicking through each page.

You can do an infinite scroll and have the books ascending and descending. So if you have books near the top end of your TBR list (ie 7000) then maybe use the infinite scroll option with the books in descending order. Does that help?

I THINK that if you are on a desktop, it shows the position number. I tried the desktop site on my phone but that didn't work. But I'm pretty sure that it will show it on an actual computer.
