It's up to you Melissa. It's what you feel you can read in the year. Does that make sense?

message 52: by Mell (new)

Mell (mellrouvray) I put all those top 5's as my goal, but since I had already read some that's why there are some crossed out and my count started? I'm confused now!

Mhairi | 8 comments Hey guys, I'd like to sign up for 5 books from 2 lists.

I don't really want to do the top 5 in each list, so I'm picking out of the top 15-20, I'm guessing this is ok? This is what I've got planned:

Best for Book Clubs.

1. The Help
2. The Time Traveler's Wife
3. My Sister's Keeper
4. Memoirs of a Geisha
5. Life of Pi

Best Ever Contemporary Romance Books.

1. Bet Me
2. Can You Keep a Secret?
3. The Notebook
4. Sugar Daddy
5. Something Borrowed

Zara's Retreat | 2365 comments Mhairi I have added you. Welcome and good luck. You have some great books there. Three of my favourites from your list are Can You Keep a Secret?, Memoirs of a Geisha, My Sister's Keeper. The book of My Sister's Keeper is far and away better than the movie. The ending in the movie is really disappointing. I hope you like them.

Zara's Retreat | 2365 comments Starfleetbrat, Kimberly and Laura I have added you all. Welcome and good luck.

Laura, I've read one of the books that you have listed - Redeeming Love - I found it to be a really awesome book. I couldn't put it down (my daughter took it off me at one point but I had to get her to give it back to me because I was having bad withdrawal symptoms. LOL). It had a really profound affect on me. I was glad I had this response because when I read another of this author's books I absolutely hated it.

I have also watched the movie of "Fireproof" and was also touched by that story as well. I look forward to reading your comments and thoughts.

Buddy reads sound good, Jodi! I was thinking reading Miss Peregrine in about March, no plans for Me Before You or The Fault in Our Stars yet, but The Fault is still in quite heavy demand at my library so will prob leave it until later in the year and my reading schedule is already pretty full for Jan and Feb anyway! But let me know when you're considering reading them and I'll see if I have time! Ideally, I'd like to try and slot those books into challenges I do with other groups, but I won't know what those challenges are till later in the year, so that may not work out anyway, but it's all part of the fun!!
