What about UF? Lots of books that are UF and have werewolves with no romance. There's the Kate Daniels series (lots of were-things--including buffalo, bears, hyena, rats, mongoose. . .) Magic Bites is the first book. Oh, yeah--and there are vampires in it that will make you decide that "sparkly vampires" aren't really that bad after all. :oP (Well, actually, yeah they are--although Robert Pattinson and taylor Lautner and the rest of the male clan Cullens wwere nice eye candy.)
Blue Moon by Lori Handeland is another one. Definitely UF, and kind of dark. This is part of a series also.
The problem is--most were-wolf books now are written as romances, so thinking of some where romance is not the main feature is kind of hard.
Oh, just remembered, one of the Dresden Files books has were-wolves in it. I think it's Fool Moon, but am not entirely positive. Plus the were-wolves in this series show up a few more times in the series. These are not the "cursed" type of were-wolves, these are definitely the "use magic to cause the change" type. And they are good-guys. This is definitely UF.
Blood Trail (Victoria Nelson, #2) which is book 2 in the Victoria Nelson series by Tanya Huff also has non-traditional were-wolves in it. This is a para-normal mystery series, so no romance.

Ann, that's exactly my problem... I'd like anything from the blood-thirsty werewolf who is out to murder everybody to a pack of werewolves kicking other supernatural creatures asses to the "daily struggles of a werewolf" kind of book (like, Lupin's appearances in Harry Potter? That kind of daily struggles). But all I can find are books with random shirtless dudes on the cover! And I'm guessing they are all Twilight style books. Not that I have anything against them - it's just not my cup of tea.
I don't know what's UF - I'm guessing urban fantasy, I've seen it around here. I guess maybe that's what I'm looking for, I'll check the genre too.
Paula--yes, UF is urban fantasy. That's probably what you are looking for. You get the paranormal creatures but mostly WITHOUT the romance--or if there is romance, it builds slowly and is usually confined to the 2 main characters. Also--Twilight was a YA (Young Adult--written for the 15 to 19 year olds) so you might like some of the more adult PNRs.
Oh, and I can not BELIVE that I didn't include Patricia Briggs in my listing of UF. She actually has 2 series going that are involved in the same world. The first series is Mercy Thompson (Moon Called first book in the series.) The second is called Alpha and Omega and starts about the time that Moon Called ends. Oh, and there is a short story that is the "prequel" to the A&O series, Alpha & Omega. I believe that you can find it as a stand alone novella/short story. Or, if you have a Kindle/Nook, it comes included in Cry Wolf but ONLY in the e-format. (Sorry dead tree lovers, but it doesn't come in the printed format.) If you prefer the print version, then the short story is in the anthology On the Prowl.
After you've read those first 2 books, it doesn't much matter which order you read them in UNTIL (and this is important, you have to have finished the A&O books up through Fair Game BEFORE (lots of exclaimation points on that) you read Frost Burned (which is the current last book that is out in the Mercy series.

There are quite good Drarry fanfictions with werewolves, do you read slash fanfics?

Thanks a lot, I got many of the recommendations. The only one I actually finished is The Last Werewolf - and I loved it. The writing style is great and the style in which they take on the werewolf issue is my cup of tea, it pictures both the human and the monster, how they cope with what they are, etc.
By the way I'm an ebook only kind of person so if you suggest something I'd appreciate if it's in ebook format! Thanks :)

is an AWESOME werewolf book and the focus is not really on romance, its more of a round about romance.
