I've had a copy of this sitting on my shelf for a long time, just never gotten around to reading it.

For those that HAVE read it, what did you think?

Initially it tweaked my interest. Enough to buy the next in the series. But then honestly I was done after that. It just wasn't what I wanted I think. I had just come off Jeaniene Frost's Bones books, so i wanted something similar. For me I like a little more from my characters. I prefer a bit more depth, a bit grittier maybe. It just didn't grab me. But I know plenty of other people like her. I read the first four of the Anita Blake series and gave up on them too. I think I'm in the minority on those ones though. :)

I liked the series the sex gets to be a bit much so I would skim chapters. When I first read the series it was the first faerie book I had ever read outside of high fanatsy. So I was really into the politics of the story.
