James (theadventurousbookreader) Since I complete my goal of reading 20 books in 2013, I decided to add ten more books for the 2014 Reading challenge. I can't wait for New Year's Day to start, so I can start this challenge.

James (theadventurousbookreader) Camille wrote: "I want to read Rebecca and The Wind in the Willows. What did you think of them?"

Rebecca is a alright mystery novel, but is it very slowed paced at times. The Wind and the Willows is a very simple and fun book to read.

James (theadventurousbookreader) Brianna wrote: "How did you like A Game of Thrones and Clockwork Angel? I've been considering reading these."

I like A Game of Thrones a lot Brianna and if you love fantasy books, I would recommend you that to you easily. Also, I do like Clockwork Angel as well, but the love triangles for me weren't that good, but I love the fact that this book is set up in the Victorian era. I hope that these questions help you out Brianna.

Brianna Andreda | 268 comments Thank you so much. That really helped. I think I may start A Game of Thrones after I finish American Psycho. I may put Clockwork Angel off a little while.

I've only seen the movie and a particular moment towards the end freaked me out. Good luck with the book.

I just finished it a little while ago. The end of the book was very, very disturbing. I wonder how Bret Easton Ellis even came up with this character

I enjoyed reading Holes a lot since it was a major page turner and I love the fact that book contains the history of Stanley's grandfather and the history's about the town where Stanley camps at. On Gone, I enjoyed the surprise twists that this dystopian had to offer, but I found Sam, the main character too be too goody- two shoes.

Also, I enjoyed The Maze runner series a lot, except for the last book, since I found it disappointing when it came to many things that happen in the story and thank you June for commenting on my challenge log this year.

message 47: by Tawallah (new)

Tawallah | 199 comments Hi James, definitely agree with Holes, read it in one day and the interweaving stories were good.

Maze Runner : I've found some trilogy books start great and then fizzle. Not sure if it's the rush to publish or trying to force an ending. I'm conflicted with the trilogy format, want to hold off especially as it is the new marketing wave but then I have some series I want to finish up. If the pattern holds I'll go back to stand alone books.

I think you can Carolyn if you find very good page turning novels that you can do pretty quickly and choose books that are somewhat short. I hope this advice helps you out Carolyn.
