It is a nice idea that we can suggest books.
But it seems that only about 6/7 people vote in the polls and we have a long list of books to vote on that most of the books get no votes or 1 vote and the winning book gets 2 votes (except for Dec where it looks like everyone wanted a holiday read).
So I was wondering if we could have a theme to suggest books (actually the themes in the Bingo Challenge would probably work w/some tweaking).
And then depending on how many books would be in the poll (based on 7 people voting) use a randomizer to pick the top x books to be in a poll.

I'm nominating a Harlem Renaissance Era & mystery: Darkness and the Devil Behind Me

I had also nominated a Persia Walker book:

Harlem Redux

I have read a couple of books by her. Really enjoyed them - interesting characters - a couple are recurring but each book works well as a standalone.
I am hoping she finds time to write/publish books again.

Paule Marshall - I have not heard her name mentioned in a little while. Brownstones: Brown Girls is a classic and a must read. While I have not read all of Marshall's books - those that I have read I have really enjoyed. She was one of the authors that in the early 1970s set me on my road of seeking out more books by authors of color.
I have not read any of Walter White's fiction - glad to see that they have brought some of his work back into print.
