Has anyone read Alison Sinclair? She wrote a book called Darkborn, and I was wondering about it...
I ran across it at the library today, but I have never heard anything about this author...
Is she any good? Is this book any good? Let me know! :)

I read that one! :D It's a fantasy romance, and if you like drawing room romances and gentlemen, you'll probably like it, just as long as you don't mind the slower pace. The characters are pretty intelligent though. That's always nice, and the gentlemen are very gentlemenly, especially the hero. He's very honorable and smart and brave, very heroic, LOL. See, they live up to their names. xD

Yeah! Someone answered me. LOL Is it slow throughout the entire book, or does the pace pick up?

Hmmm... well, the pace is steady throughout, with a few slow "we're-waiting-now-for-something-to-happen" points. Maybe what I should say is that there isn't that much fighting action for a fantasy. When people get hurt, it's a shadow here or there that shoots or sets a fire or something. Sabotage and magic, etc., causes the drama and the characters react in actually human fashion.

They discuss what to do (there's probably more dialogue than action, even though a lot's implied, like the backgrounds of the characters, so she accomplished a lot in this way), they seek sanctuary, run, etc. Not a lot of superhuman efforts or battles compared to other fantasies, maybe one or two; there is magic. So there's not a lot of physical movement. Hope that makes sense.

It does. Would you say it is worthwhile even though its slow, and doesn't have a lot of battles, etc?

Yeah, I think so, particularly if you're an HR fan like us. I think you'll benefit from it. :) It's a pretty creative world and she's dived into it.
