With much of the US frozen solid for the next couple of days, what book are you curling up with while trying to stay warm?

I live in the deep South, we had ice and snow on the ground this morning, we see snow maybe once in 10 years on average. I'm going to bump up the heat and work in my spare bedroom I've been converting into a library. The shelving I'm useing isn't working out (thank goodness i don't have much cash in em) so i have to dope out what will work, yet remain in my budget (I'm tempted to say "screw it" and put up brick-n-board shelves, can you say "college dorm"?). Got alot of books to organize in there as well. A full night tonight for me.

So are you reading, if so what, or will you be working in the stacks like me?

73°F. Did my reading (Grass) this afternoon on the chaise lounge, shirtless, maintaining the old winter tan. I did wear a sweater this morning before the sun came up, though. The desert air really cools off at night. :P

Tadiana ✩Night Owl☽ | 24 comments Does anyone remember the name of the short story where the earth is spiraling closer to the sun and the world is falling apart because of the heat, and then it turns out it was a dream of a character who's sick and feverish, and really the world is spiraling away from the sun and everyone's freezing to death? Yeah, that story should pretty much cover all of us.
