Linda I can't begin to remember the one that has been on the list the longest because the older ones on my list keep getting pushed back as I add more books. Just today I found a stack of books (yes, in the living room on the floor) that I didn't even know I had!

Good timing. This weekend made the decision to start reading my TBR list in earnest. 3 on the go and feeling good but then added another 4 so one step forward and 2 back. Hope to achieve as many of the 10 as possible.

message 9: by Diana (last edited Jul 19, 2015 10:11PM) (new)

Diana Hockley (cadfael) | 8 comments I have 1705 books on one kindle and 1753 books on the other. Piled by my bed is a stack that reaches the top of my bedside table - approx 3 ft high - on the chest of drawers opposite is a stack which goes up so high, they are ready to topple over. And still I add to the lot :( I am a compulsive collector and yes, I still read old favourites time and again! I have a guest room/library with one wall full of books which is my To Be Kept collection and woe betide anyone who tries to separate me from any of it!!!! And yes, most of those in the "library" have been read and are being clung to for dear life!!! The tragic thing is that on reading Rita's list, Brenda, I see many books that look so interesting...
:(

Hehehe, this book satisfies many other criteria in the August challenge, including, at 712 pages, 'a book over 400 pages'. That is why it has been on my TBR list since 2010! Sally906 | 71 comments OK - not sure how many I'll get through as I am going to be very busy in August.

Oldest daughter is getting married and I am the official mother-of-the-bride and the keeper-under-control-of-the-grandchildren! On top of this, family from all over Australia will be arriving in Darwin for the event and all fighting for floor space at our house (2 x couples and 1 x single last count) the bad beagle boy Hunter is not going to be happy sharing his floor space.

Reading will go out the window.

Then a week later it is my best friends wedding and I am matron of honour! Phew!

but I am sure I will get some of these done - filled in a few:

1) The book that's been on your list the longest - Anne's House of Dreams by L.M. Montgomery(since 2011)

I started with my TBR list for books I'd like to read this year, then moved on to books listed on my challenges for this year (because not all the books on my challenge lists are on my actual TBR list - some of them are on a mental TBR list!). Love all the lists coming through!!!

PattyMacDotComma | 3242 comments I would be lucky to get through half this list, so I'm considering choosing fewer books to meet the 10 criteria.

I know, I know - it's cheating, but it still makes me choose books that I might not have gotten around to except for this challenge.

I just can't see myself getting through the books I really want to read otherwise.

It's not cheating as in the criteria it says: see how many you can complete before month's end

What it means is to read as many as you can, following the criteria and only from your TBR:)
