The Raven Boys
David's The Dwellers saga
Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Rysa Walker's Chronos Files
And because I can't just do 5, ;)
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
David's Slip trilogy (must see Benson on the big screen!)
Mike Mullin's Ashfall series
And I'll stop for now! I could go on and on!! :)

Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles
Mike Mullin's Ashfall
Neal Shusterman's Unwind
Laini Taylor's Daughter of Smoke & Bone
also, SOOOOO excited for RP1 to be a movie <33
Yes to Chaos Walking, Lunar Chronicles, Unwind and Chronos Files!!!!! Also yes to anything written by David as that would be super cool :)

Sorry that's more than five! I would've also put Unwind on there but I'm pretty sure a movie is confirmed? At least, Neal Shusterman hinted at it very strongly on Facebook. :) I know Cinder and and TKoNLG both have movie deals but I don't think either is really in production yet. Uglies and AGATB both got movie deals a long time ago but neither has ever actually happened. *cries* And I just really want movies (or TV series!) of The Raven Boys or Leviathan. I have this beautiful vision of Studio Ghibli making a Leviathan movie––which will probably never happen, but a girl can dream. :P

2. Chaos Walking
3. Raven Cycle
4. 13th Reality
5. Invincible(comic series
Honorable mention: Vengekeep Prophecies. Possibly the most under-loved series I've ever read.
EDIT: Took out Under the Never Sky and replaced it with Invincible, my favorite current running comic book, which at one point was optioned for a movie and a screenplay was written(by Robert Kirkman, the series creator/writer who also happens to be the creator/writer of The Walking Dead) but then just... nothing. I was so excited too!

They haven't said anything about an Unwind movie since February, which concerns me >.>
btw, the ember in ashes movie has a nearly finished script.
I think for my list I am going to list books that have not started movie production yet because I don't keep up very well on what is for sure is going to be made into a movie. I do know that A Monster Calls was in production so I am not adding that to my list but I'm very excited to see it made into a movie!

That's why I didn't add AMC, and a few other books as well. If any on my list are in production, I didn't know about it.

Cinder
The Knife of Never Letting Go
On the Jellicoe Road
(it's not a series but a movie I would love to see none the less!) It had been rumored to become a movie several times but nothing is going yet.
The Cuckoo's Calling
Game
Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy
The Monstrumologist
(how creepy would that be!)
I would also love any book by Sarah Addison Allen to be made into a movie. Is Rot & Ruin being made into a movie??

Haha I considered The Monstrumologist but I probably wouldn't see it because it'd be so scary! Rot & Ruin would be cool, too ... I don't think I've heard anything about a movie yet.

BBC has optioned the movie rights for a TV movie of the Strike books but nothing has started yet so I put it on there hoping they would start it!

These are just 5 book series that I think should be made into a movie. There are actually lots more!
@Ashley - There was a TV miniseries for Casual Vacancy but I think it totally bombed? Apparently it was on from February-March but I didn't hear anything about it. :P
@Jenny - Ooh, great list! I would love to see a lot of those as movies. :D

I thought I heard that DOSB was in production-- wikipedia says Stuart Beattie is writing the script. He worked on Pirates of the Caribbean so I'm really excited :D :D :D

Speaking of HBO stuff I've got Angels in America sitting on my dvd shelf and still haven't found time to watch it. I'm torn between the incredible cast and wanting to read the play before I watch it :P
The Angels in America miniseries is quite good! I watched all of it with my friend a few years ago and remember really enjoying it. It does have a really great cast. I've never read/seen the play, though.

I'm actually really surprised I haven't done this one yet.
Anyways, list your favorite book series here. Keep in mind, list series that has NOT been made into a movie OR is going to be made into a movie (ex. The 5th Wave - although the movie is not out yet, the fact is, its already being made into a movie).
"Rumored" books are acceptable. Meaning books that are rumored to be made into a movie, but actually has not been finalized.
