I love Dealing with Dragons!! It's one of my absolute favorite childhood series, and it's hystericallly funny. The main character is amazing.

I know some of you picked Eragon and Dealing with Dragons! How are you enjoying those?

Now off to read His Majesty's Dragon!

And just this weekend, I finished reading both Eon: Dragoneye Reborn and it's sequel, Eona: The Last Dragoneye. I liked both of them, particularly because I thought the story was something completely new to what there's out there, but disliked the super fast pace it sometimes had and the rushed romance.
I don't know if I'll get to read another dragon them story this month, but I'll keep an eye on everyone's opinions about their chosen books :)

However, I am still counting it.
I will say this - I was not too excited for this month, as I read a lot of books about dragons when I was younger, and felt like perhaps I'd outgrown them a little bit. Also, I've read a lot of YA and/or fantasy recently, so I was feeling a bit tired of the genre.
But Uprooted has been surprisingly good so far, able to hold my interest despite all of my initial hang-ups.
Renuka, how did you like Uprooted? Are you counting it for the month or reading another book to make up for the lack of actual dragons?

However, I am still counting it.
I will say this - I..."
Yeah I've entered a bit of a reading slump haha. Although I was really enjoying Uprooted, no book is managing to hold my attention, sigh. Hopefully I can finish it in the next 5 days, but the lack of an actual dragon is disappointing tbh. Although I too feel the same way, I read a lot of books about dragons when I was younger so I feel the need for a lot more complexity in these books, you know? I'm glad Uprooted has such a beautiful style though!
I'm counting it for the month haha. He's still called the dragon lol. Maybe he turns into one hahaha.

Oh no. I really wanted to read Uprooted, but now I'm not so sure :(

Oh no. I really wanted ..."
Wow it's actually fantastic! There is sadly no Dragon but OH WELL, I'm counting it. It's a little bit like Deathless which we read earlier, but more traditionally fairy-tale like. It's surprisingly DARK! The Wood is EVIL. You can practically feel the malevolence. Don't read this late at night lol. The characters are lovely too. It's a little long, but very poetic and gothic.

I really liked Mrs. Camherst as a character and the drawings and descriptions of dragons were fantastic. This was written as a "non-fiction" account of a naturalist during an era that seems to be similar to the Victorian era--though it is in an entirely different universe.
I recommend it.
