"What is occurring today is a Great Council - all the kings of all the races of the Archipelago are coming together with the Parliament to determine who should assume the Throne."

Great idea, Amber!

Current closest-to-me book is Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys

"Hours and hours she had spent on it and it was nearly finished."

message 19: by Amber (new)

Amber (fruitburt) | 30 comments No just a thing I got on Facebook! lol I suppose we could pick a different page and sentence number if you all want. How about pg 104 5th sentence?

"From the feel of presence,, I would have pegged him as the younger of the two, but I could have been wrong." Still reading Mona Lisa Blossoming by Sunny

message 20: by Maureen (last edited Jul 15, 2009 07:33PM) (new)

Maureen | 20 comments From Daring Time by Beth Kery -

p. 56 - "She definitely sensed heat now coming from the smooth surface of the mirror and followed it unerringly."

p. 104 - "What's the last thing ya remember?" Sadie asked.

I haven't read it yet but just these two sentences adds to the usual cover blurb on the back. I'll have to start on it tonight.

(Update: Umm, this book is erotica. I didn't know that when I picked it up. I like them steamy but I try to draw the line at erotica. Ooops. LOL. I'm totally shocked Amber didn't get her "uh oh!" from these two sentences as it seems every other sentence in the entire book has it! LOL)

message 21: by BJ Rose (new)

BJ Rose (bjrose) | 443 comments Doing two pages from the same book is even better - presently reading Branded by Fire by Nalini Singh

Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ (wwwgoodreadscomprofilejael) p.56-"the tinkle of the door chimes saved us as Jacey blew in."
