Well, there's 22 copies at the library, so I'm hoping I get it soon.

Brandy! Book 6 of the Fox and O Hare series comes out August 7th!

Edit... maybe not. Audible says releasing in Feb next year. Å·±¦ÓéÀÖ is saying August. I'm not sure what to believe.

message 104: by Brandy (new)

Brandy | 2535 comments So I am guessing that the print copy will come out then several months later the audio. I hate when they do that!
Audio is so convenient for me. I can listen during my commute, while I work, clean, walking the dog or even get ready in the morning. I can't read while doing any of that

I'm not usually a fan, but does anyone want to read a Romance-Y novel for February?

message 106: by Brandy (new)

Brandy | 2535 comments Have you read Darynda Jones Charlie Davidson? It isn't typical romance but there is a boy and a girl. that counts, right?

Haha sure! Oh wow there's quite a few books in that series.

It looks pretty good! I'll have to check it out

Does anyone want to read the Legend series by Marie Lu? I started the first book forever ago... but I had to wait for the other books to come out, and now it's been so long that I probably just need to re-read the first one again and then finish the series I started back in 2014.

message 110: by Melanie (last edited May 28, 2019 10:39AM) (new)

Melanie I've never done one-on-one buddy reading before. I'd love to try it! I love fantasy, sci-fi and dystopia.

Sara - I love Marie Lu and have been meaning to read that series! I'm up for that.

That's great! And anyone else can certainly join us if they'd like to. I can set up a thread for it.

When is the best starting day for you? We can wait if you have some books you need to finish.

message 112: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Is July ok? I have a few lined up already and I need to order the book as well.

Yes, the more the merrier!

message 113: by Sara, The Meme Mod! (new)

Sara | 3903 comments Mod

I have a couple book to read right now... but maybe in a couple weeks, would anyone like to read the Adept Universe with me? I think I need help pushing me to finish it. I originally thought it was just the Dowser series, but Meghan Ciana Doidge has created this whole universe with different book series and they all intertwine together.

Here's all the books and let me know if you want to join me!
/series/2218...

I am also looking for a buddy to read with. I was thinking we could read fantasy or thriller. we could read so many chapters a week, discuss what we've read so far then repeat until the book is done.

Any takers?

You know I am!!! I've got it on hole at both my libraries, but who knows how long that's going to take...

Brandy | 2535 comments I couldn't wait. used my audible credit.

I can't say I blame you! I just put the physical book on hold at the library now too because it looks like I may be able to get it faster that way.

How is it so far?? Did you finish already?

message 124: by Brandy (new)

Brandy | 2535 comments All done. It is a fun read just like the rest of the series. you know grandma is up to no good, stephanie is trouble magnet, lula is well Lula. The very end does interduce a spinoff series. It could be fun

That's great, I can't wait to read it! And ooh a spinoff? I'm intrigued! I should really read her Wicked Series too

message 126: by Alexw (new)

Alexw Would be fun to read The Bone Tree by Greg Iles in late December. Iles vivid portraits of the bad guys always has you rooting for the bad guy to die in a horrendous manner and his dialogue is some of the best in the business.

Brandy, I finished the newest Janet. And I'm intrigued by the spinoff! Hoping 28 is better, I didn't love this one.

message 128: by Alexw (new)

Alexw Would be great fun to read The Aviator's Wife in mid January.

Brandy! I just got Kingdom of Shadow and Light (newest Fever book) in from the library, have you read it yet?

message 130: by Brandy (new)

Brandy | 2535 comments I have not read it. I am so far behind. I started Prospero's war series. So I am in the middle of that one.

I'd be down to try Red Queen again. I only read book 1. I also only read book 1 and 2 of Three Dark Crowns.

A Court of Thorns and Roses 4 Books in 1 by Sarah J. Maas

Pamela Cox | 6 comments The brand-new edition of our book Tales of Habib the Hoaxter has just been released on Amazon!

I'm willing to bet that this book is unlike anything you've ever read before.

It's a collection of very short, very funny stories, each with a punch line that will have you laughing and eager to share with your friends.

If you enjoy stories that draw you in with the first line, take you on a little adventure of wonder, then spin you around like a fair ride, you will revel in these tales!

If you wish to experience the poor outwitting the rich and the unschooled outwitting the pompously educated.
Come take Habib’s hand!

These tales are quite simple on the surface, with rich layers of meaning beneath.

They are great for children, for the old and wise (or not so wise!), and for everyone in between. We can't wait to hear which tale is your favorite!
