I think that The Assassin's Curse and The Pirate's Wish both have some incredibly strong and memorable characters, but I'd like to know your favourite?

Is it Ananna, with her attitude and funny way of speaking?

Is it the mysterious Naji?

My personal favourite character comes from The Pirate's Wish, so I won't go into too many details for those who haven't read to that point yet. I'll just say that she is funny, she is dangerous, and she has a nasty habit of wanting to eat male creatures!

Let me know yours!

Perla The IB Teen Book Blogger (ibteen) | 13 comments I have a hard time choosing between Annana and Naji- because A: I am a romantic and the gift that is Naji is almost too wonderful makes me want to pick him (it helps that he is incredibly powerful, had a Prince Zuko scar, and is kinda oblivious(readers know why and of what) for most of the duology). And B: I am a WOMAN- capital letters and all- and I love me a bad ass female character and there are few who are better than my girl Annana.

Ryan Snyder (ryansnyder93) | 4 comments Oh man. I adore Annana. Her way of talking, her fearlessness and the fact that she is a pirate. She was a wonderful character. And seriously, Assasins and Pirates are two of my favorite characters ever. I adored this duology. I have already read the Wizard's Promise. I love Cassandra's work. I still have to get a hold of a copy of her other adult book.

Kathy (Kindle-aholic) (kindleaholic) | 5 comments Annana is one of my fav heroines. She's a pirate princess and completely kicks ass.

I also really liked Amanda's fav character, she was a wonderful surprise. :)

Yes, Amanda's favorite character is delightful.

Nan (felicityk) Amanda's favorite character is my favorite also :).

Katrina | 1 comments I love Annana she is my favorite character!!!
She is amazing.
She is not afraid to be herself.
I admire her, she doesn't give up easily, she is brave, and has a lot of girl power.
Also she get boys like Naji (handsome, brave, cares, loving.)

Natalie (Never trust a duck) Ananna is brilliant!!! She has got such a sailors mouth and she has SUCH cringe-worthy moments around Naji.....especially in the second book *wink wink*

Naji is the definition of perfection. He's hunky, smart, caring (most of the time). Love this guy.

I don't think there was a character I didn't like unless we were supposed to dislike her.

Raina Lie | 11 comments Ananna is not bitchy, so I like her. But... I also prefer someone like Naji. I always have soft spot on characters like Naji hahah! So... although it's a difficult decision to make, if I have to choose 1, I'll chose Naji. Still. *sigh* ^^;;

Ina M. | 1 comments Hmmmm, Ananna annoyed me a little sometimes (only a tiny little bit), so I'd have to say Naji. He's a very swoonworthy character :D

Rebecah | 1 comments Naji. Reminds me of Eric from Phantom of the Opera (The Phantom).

@Natalie: Haha, I love that you like Ananna's sailor mouth. It was so much fun to write (and was actually a bit worse before publication!)

message 13: by Ronmaes (new)

Ronmaes | 2 comments Of course I love ananna and naji because we all know how amazing they are, but I think the character I love most would be Ongraygeeomryn (I dont know if I got that right- her name is just too hard). She is very honest and despite her and ananna's obvious differences, she is loyal and scary and just seems so powerful.

Hahaha That's great! I wish I could've read that. XD

YES! How did I not see that before? I think that's what felt so familiar about him, for me, but in a super hot way!

D.F. Jules | 4 comments Ananna, obviously. I like how she's so in your face but she's vulnerable too. She's practical and is never afraid to do what needs to be done.

Naji reminded me of prince zuko from Avatar

So many people have said this! I've never seen Avatar. I think I need to watch it now.

So I'm definitely going to have to watch Avatar, but I saw Captain America: Winter Soldier, and I kept thinking that the Winter Soldier looked (and sort of acted) like a futuristic Naji:

Anyone else? Or am I just crazy?

message 21: by Raina (new)

Raina Lie | 11 comments I imagine Naji is a bit slenderer than the picture above. I don't know why ^^;;

Me too!! Maybe it's part of the reason I saw Winter Soldier 4 times.

message 23: by Carly (new)

Carly (wildlavender) | 2 comments Avatar: the last airbender in an absolute must! I always saw Naji slender than the Winter Soldier

message 24: by Uzma (new)

Uzma | 4 comments I really loved Marjani; she's pretty rocking...fearless Captain and problem solver! I liked the main character's obviously, but honestly I couldn't get past Ananna's pirate speak, especially after her dialogue with her parent's.; I know alot of people love her language...it just didn't work for me! Oh and the manticore....not gonna try and spell her name....comic relief!

message 25: by Saige (new)

Saige (swipi) | 1 comments Ananna was hands down my favorite. She was just so much fuuuun. Naji comes in as close second, but there were just a few too many moments when he was too much of a jerk to my baby girl. (And I totally wouldn't change them, but poor Ananna. You put up with a lot of crap, girl.)

Also, I always imagined Naji as some weird mix of Zuko from Avatar and Sayid from Lost.

Yes! I was reading the book and when it was describing Naji, the Winter Soldier immediately came to mind.
