I don't think I've played with any of you before so am looking forward to getting to know all of you. I'm excited for this round of Tower Teams - I haven't played TT before but it looks like it will be a lot of fun. After GG I feel like I play anything!
Let's do this :D

Yep. But worry not, a new one will appear. Besides, one of the things we learned on gladiator games with goals is that eventually all books will be of some use for achieving goals.
Also, once a book is marked as used for, it cannot be changed.

Hi Team!
I'm Sonia, the greek mentor. Meaning, I'm the mod to go when you need something. I'm in the Poseidon thread, but you can also PM me or use the Greek Team Issues thread on the captains group.
I hope you enjoy the challenge. We still have almost 3 weeks till start date, but since these things tend to get a lot of preparation, we're trying to work all details out of the way till there.
Have fun!

I PMed Juliana, I'm sure she'll get back to you soon. Meanwhile, I'll let you in the capable hands of Cathy and Britta.

I'm trying to update the shelves in post 10 so that the captains can find your shelves to check the books but some of the links aren't working/it's hard to judge which shelf is for this game. Can you please post your link to your shelf everyone? And if I've already listed it, can you please confirm that I listed the correct one?
Thank you!

tower teams IV"
It has been updated, thank you Jaclyn!

Yes it does save so much time having it in one place!! Thank you Suzanne, it has been updated!

No worries :) To link something (and make it look pretty), above the comment box on the right side click on the (some html is ok) link and it's the 2nd one listed. I just copy & paste what's listed after "link:" and change the address and text so it shows how I want it to. After you do it the first time, it'll be a piece of cake!

It's awesome to meet you all, I can't wait for the games to begin! :D
Shall we maybe do a little round of introductions so we can get to know each other?
I'm Britta and I'm from Estonia. I'll probably be most active around my evening, though I'll check in during the day too.
I'm probably relatively young, seeing as I just started university this year (studying informatics)! It's been a bit stressful so far, though the main problem is that I've been reading less than I normally would. Hopefully that should quiet down soon though, plus I'll definitely have a lot of time to read around Christmas and in January!
My favourite book genre is definitely fantasy, even though right now I seem to be reading two non-fiction books and one classic. My reading tends to vary a lot, but fantasy's definitely my go-to genre.
And speaking of favourites, my new favourite (standalone) book as of this July is The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. If anyone needs a recommendation, there's mine. :D
So yeah. It's high time I go to sleep now, hope you'll all write a little something (basically anything) about yourselves when you have the time.

PS. As soon as I saw I was in Hades, I immediately thought we should watch the Disney Hercules together. Anyone up for that? :D
PPS. Here's my shelf, Cathy!

Great idea Britta! I don't think I've ever seen the Disney version of Hercules. I'll need to check it out since I'm pretty much a fan of all Disney films :)
I work as an Office Manager in a law firm here in sunny Los Angeles. My job is pretty cyclical, with certain times of the month more busy then others. Today my bosses are all out of the office so I've been on GR WAY TO LONG!! There might be times I won't be able to do anything but make a comment during the day but I will be here each night to help keep things updated.
I typically read a book everyday to every other day, depending on the length. During GG I was finishing 1-2 books a day and it nearly killed me so I won't be doing that again! I lean more towards romance (all types - NA, adult, MM, YA), but lately have been getting into PNR again. I'll read pretty much anything except Christian Fiction or non-fiction.

The vast majority of the books I read are science fiction, fantasy, and classics. This year I started reading non fiction and historical fiction. The books I heavily recommend is the Wheel of Time series which is this the best books series pound for pound I have ever read.
I typically read 600 pages a wee, but will probably step my game up for the challenge. I am obsessed with challenges and picking out books that fit more than one challenge.
I noticed Hercules is on Net Flix, I don't know how the logistics would work with that, but I am game.
Have a great night!!!

I teach math at Idaho State University - I'm in class mornings and evenings and am usually around a computer otherwise. There are times in the semester I'm busy and can't read much - but I usually finish a couple of books a week. There are so many books I want to read! I read a lot of fantasy and science fiction, some mysteries, some general fiction, etc. I'm super excited for the challenge.

I am a single mom of a 3 (almost 4) year old son and he makes my world go round :) Other than reading, I love watching movies, & TV (I have lots of favorite shows). We recently moved into our very first house, so I'm also enjoying decorating little by little and making it our home.
My favorite genres are historical fiction, paranormal, mystery, YA/NA, chick-lit, and I'm probably forgetting a few. I'll read pretty much anything although I'm not a big classics fan.

Hi everone! My name is Jenny and I live in Wolverhampton in the UK. I moved here recently but have been lucky finding a job straight away. I work as a support worker for elderly people. I'm hoping to go to uni next year to become a nurse.
I'm 28 and in my free time I watch tv shows, love going to the cinema and of course I'm an avid reader :)
I haven't met a genre I didn't like but at the moment I'm on a fantasy binge which is good for page count lol
Nice to meet everyone! Can't wait to get started :D xx

Sorry that took me some time to check here, bit I'm on a little vacations and internet access isn't easy. But before the official start of the games I'll be back home and ready to motivate and help our team.
I'll have to post my shelf latter on.
Cathy, thanks for taking care for the group so far, the reservations is a good idea. I'll try to do something similar.
For now I will just welcome everyone!!

Score Update:
Week 1 (Nov 7-14)
Points for books reads:
Points for BOM discussion:
Points for goals completed:

There will be goals (which I assume you are meaning for tasks) and from GG I would suggest people read what you want to read because more than likely it will meet one of the goals sooner or later.
In addition, just so feelings aren't hurt or anything like it, I'd like to throw out there that we should use books for goals as they are completed, not held up if there is already a book that meets that goal. Of course this is a team so let us know what you think on the matter.
Will just ask that when you post your completed books, give as much info about the books as possible so we don't have to hunt down the details - you can take a look at the possible goals sheet to see what kind of goals there are.

I've been holding off on reading some of my longer books :) Codex Alera series, Butcher's other new book, some of my series books. And some shorter books I can use for goals in case they come up (X-Y-Z author/books, pets, etc).

Curious, there are more than a few goals on the sheet. Will they be parted between each team. Or will every team get the complete list to work from?
I haven't done a serious look at the list, I was only wondering if anyone has some particular book they are excited to get to in the coming months.

Yep that's how you do it :P Congrats on the new house. That sounds exciting!
