Corinne Newbegin | 3 comments Hey guys!

I noticed there hasn't been any activity in this topic since 2012, so hopefully we can get some stuff going for this year!

I don't know about you guys, but I think it'd be cool if we had a Group Read. Maybe for April we all try to read one book together, and then we can discuss it.

So yeah...any books anyone wants to read in particular? I'm open to suggestions :)

Bekka Hi Corinne!
Props to you for getting the ball rolling, I hope we can get more people posting here.

A Group Read sounds great! I don't know if you (or anyone else) knows about the Humble Bundle, but I just bought like 11 books on my Kindle and hoped we could read one of those together. My suggestion then is Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.

Holli (hojomo) | 2 comments I would enjoy reading Uglies! It's on my list anyway.

Sam (samw11) | 2 comments I would give a group read a try. Corinne, would you like to pick a couple of suggestions and anyone who wants to join in can vote? Book with the most votes wins?

Billie | 1 comments Love this idea!

Skittles Malone I like the idea but agree that we should vote to decide what book we will read.

Corinne Newbegin | 3 comments All right, I'm glad there's a lot of interest! I also wouldn't mind reading the Uglies, but if anyone else has any suggestions I think it'd be a good idea to vote. Maybe even have a list and we vote on which one to read first? I have "Picture of Dorian Gray" on my to-read list, so I'll throw that in as a suggestion.

Oh, if you are opening the floor to suggestions, then I would like to suggest "A Place of Execution" by Val McDermid, which is the Big Read 2014 title for the International Crime Writers Festival in July?
