I loved those, the story was not my usual fantasy pick and I was awed. Now I plan to read The Sanctuary Duet, I'm so sure I'll love it that I've already pre-ordered Ash and Silver, out next week.

I'll delve into Malazan someday. I know I will. Probably next summer, I've a good reading pace when I'm on vacation :)

Always a noble goal, I have set it for myself many times, but never made it entirely through.

Justine (justine_ao) | 629 comments I finished Updraft, and like Shel, I enjoyed it:)

I'm about a third of the way through The Traitor Baru Cormorant right now, which will be my last book of the month. So far it reminds me of a cross between Malazan and The Dagger and the Coin.

Hmm, sounds like something right up my alley. This might need to move up the TBR. After I finish my attempt at completing Malazan before the end of the year. Want to start 2016 fresh, with no daunting huge series in my sights.

Lulu (robotwitch) | 65 comments Over this week, I've finished two non-SFF books: Portnoy's Complaint which was an absolute slog to the end, and Surfacing which was I thought was brilliant and bleak.

Yesterday, I finished The Forever War, which was very immersive and fast-paced. I thought the issues dealt with in regards to vets were interesting, though the gender and sexuality issues left me uncomfortable, as 70s sci fi is prone to do.

I've now picked up The Traitor Baru Cormorant again, which I'm enjoying better now I've had some time away from it.

I just picked up and started reading Terrier, the first of Tamora Pearce's Beka Cooper books. I absolutely adore her The Song of the Lioness Quartet so I'm excited for a prequel (plus glad to be reading something light at the moment).

I have The Traitor Baru Cormorant ready for when I finish!

Tad (tottman) | 17 comments I'm reading Aftermath by Chuck Wendig. It's really good so far. Really enjoying it. I have The Traitor Baru Cormorant high on my TBR list. Hopefully I'll get to it next.
