Mark Pghfan | 95 comments The story line of this book was hinted at in a previous book (I think it was "The ABC Murders") where Poirot comments to Hastings the sort of mystery he would like to solve. "Four people sit down to play bridge. The host is murdered and one of the four, the odd man out, is responsible." (Not the precise quote, but close enough.)

Ariadne Oliver | 2 comments Just started reading this yesterday. Shaitana is a cool character to hang the plot on and the bridge - murder setting is really cool.
And it's always a pleasure to meet Ariadne Oliver.

Malcolm Noble | 0 comments I have mentioned before that this is one of my favourites and one that I never get fed up of reading.

Annamarie (planewxgirl) | 59 comments After I read this book years and years ago.... I learned to play bridge because of it. I am not great at bridge but I do ok. But this book was so fun because of what HP saw in the cards.

I hope everyone is liking it. I have read 1/2 of it as of today. I will finish it this weekend. I have too many books going at once. lol.

I hope to hear more of what people think of it!

Liberty K | 4 comments This book is so good! Definitely one of my Agatha's favorites.

Karen | 5 comments Well, I don't see an edit button but my iPod took off on its own. Enjoyed the book. I had forgotten who did the murder so it was more interesting. I love Mrs Oliver and look forward to meeting her occasionally in the books.

Annamarie (planewxgirl) | 59 comments AO is a fun character and I find her such a relief at times! I laugh that she put her in there. But it was so fun for her to write AO's character. So enjoy!

Brooklyn Tayla (bookishbrooklyn) | 121 comments I've been itching to read this! I'm going to jump into it after I finish re reading "Curtain." I love Ariadne Oliver!!

Brooklyn Tayla (bookishbrooklyn) | 121 comments Really loved it :) definitely a favourite! Was caught off guard towards the end but oh gosh fabulous mystery! Loved how Ariadne wrote "The Body in The Library" - she's such a cracker of a character and I deeply admire her woman's instinct (:

Reija | 42 comments I really like Ariadne too! She has funny murder story line in Dead Man's Folly. I like her fictional book character too.. even if he doesn't sound very Finnish for me, sometimes.

Brooklyn Tayla (bookishbrooklyn) | 121 comments Her obsession with apples always makes me smile :)

Mark Pghfan | 95 comments Agatha had an obsession for apples as well!
