Zaz | 2969 comments Welcome :)

Ah, another Fried Green Tomatoes reader! Maybe I'll use too UnStrung for week 24 as Unwind is the 16th in my TBR, but nothing sure.

I read Howl's moving Castle this year, it was really pleasant, I've to continue the series. The Lottery was nice, but the other shorts didn't work really well with me (I suppose it's a matter of taste, the writing was ok).

Sarah King (kingbxth) Thank you, Zaz!

Fried Green Tomatoes was an essential part of my childhood and I'm a little ashamed I haven't read it yet. Luckily, this list is giving me the opportunity to catch up on my TBR list.

I think I may have read The Lottery once in school, but everything is such a blur from then that I figured I'd try it out again.

Looking forward to following everyone's journeys!

Francesca | 780 comments I'm another Fried Green Tomatoes reader, I have it down for my book with a type of food in the title. Glad to see it's one that may have a bit of discussion for it.

I read A Clockwork Orange this year and thought it was brilliant, so I hope you enjoy your reading experience with one too!

L | 127 comments This is a great list - I think you are going to enjoy your 2016 reading!

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments Ooh, we share the Who/Where/What/When/Why book - I'm really looking forward to that one! Also we are reading Schindler's Ark for the same week too - another one I am really looking forward to reading (although that seems a bit morbid).

message 7: by Raeann (new)

Raeann (broadwaypants) | 100 comments UnStrung was pretty good! (And short, haha!) I read the Unwind series earlier this year and really enjoyed it. If you do end up reading it I hope you enjoy it, too!

Thanks, Lisa! I'm looking forward to it... ready for 2016 to just get started already! Haha

I just purchased What is the What so if I haven't gotten to read it before this week comes up, I might have to switch around my Who/Where/What/When/Why book... but maybe not since I may have someone to discuss it with! Schindler's List is definitely going to be a depressing week.. hopefully I'll be able to pad the rest of the week with some humor or YACR!

I read the Unwind series last year and saw that Unstrung was Levi's version of events, but just wasn't interested in what had happened to him while he was gone. I guess this year is my opportunity to find out! Haha

message 11: by Raeann (new)

Raeann (broadwaypants) | 100 comments Yeahhhh, Lev was the one I was least interested in... sorry Lev! Everyone else's stories were suspenseful and slightly terrifying and took precedence. But it's still a nice supplement to the rest of the series.

Elise (theblackhorizon) The Last Unicorn is absolutely wonderful. Hope you love it.

I also chose Bernadette for my beach read. I don't usually go for books described as such, so it'll be fun to try it out.

Every time we would stay with my aunt, we would watch The Last Unicorn. I'm hoping for some nostalgia haha

I enjoy 'beach reads' after a particularly heavy, intellectual read. Just something quick, easy and fun to help you recover from the long classics!

message 14: by Jody (new)

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments I am not usually a beach-read kind of girl either, but one of my big surprises this year was how much I liked Big Little Lies. I've read quite a few heavy/dry classics this year, and it was a breath of fresh air to read something easy & fun. I've tried to put a few on my list for next year, so I don't take it too seriously. :)

message 15: by Sarah (new)

Sarah King (kingbxth) Oh goodness.. I have already found SO MANY books to add to this list and it's not even 2016 yet. I'm doomed! Haha

³§¾±²Ôé²¹»å O'Brien (sinead89) Ooh, we have a few in common for this challenge! I'll also be reading In Cold Blood, and for my series books I'll also be reading City of Bones & City of Ashes too! I knew as soon as I read their description that I'd be hooked, I'm guessing you felt the same :).

Maple (maplerie) | 1025 comments Your list is awesome! There are very few books here that I've read but your list looks like a lot of fun :D

Yes! I can tell it'll be something I enjoy, I'm glad you're starting them too! We'll be able to discuss them (and our excitement!)
