Shelby (rotaauthor) | 32 comments Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. Before, I'd probably say LKH's, but I haven't really liked her most recent books.
Patricia Briggs and Charlaine Harris are my second favs :)

Jessa ♥ EvilDarkSide (metalgirl80) I agree with everyone about the Kate Daniel's series. Another good one is The Phoenix Chronicles.

Night Huntress by Jeaniene Frost
Dante Valentine by Lilith Saintcrow
Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews
Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs

message 63: by Susan (new)

Susan | 4 comments This is a tough question. There are too many to choose from. I guess I will go with Adrian Phoenix's The Maker's Song series. I always look forward to the next Dante and Heather book.

message 64: by Keri (new)

Keri | 182 comments Going w/strictly urban fantasy, I'd have to say Karen Marie Moning's Fever series also. It's awesome. LUV that series!!!1

Anna (aknas22) | 349 comments Nicholas wrote: "For me, it's gotta be the Dresden Files"

This is one of my favorites too...so exited for Ghost Story (The Dresden Files, #13) by Jim Butcher in a few days, loved Changes (The Dresden Files, #12) by Jim Butcher though the ending almost killed me haha.

Esmeralda (nena10) | 16 comments Nicholas wrote: "For me, it's gotta be the Dresden Files"

Absolutely. Jim Butcher's Dresden Files.
The books AND the audiobooks, I was disappointed when I learned that
James Marsters was not available for Ghost Story (The Dresden Files, #13) by Jim Butcher

message 70: by Esmeralda (new)

Esmeralda (nena10) | 16 comments Nicholas wrote: "I should also mention Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid Chronicles - Hounded Hexed and Hammered"

Sounds interesting, the first one is in my TBR list.

By the way. I forgot that for me, Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series comes to a very close second choice.

message 71: by Karen (new)

Karen Duvall (chalice) | 4 comments my favorite series used to be Anita Blake by Laurell K. Hamilton, then it was Kim Harrison's Deathly Hollows, and now i'm sort of wobbling between books in my TBR pile. So i have no current faves at the moment. Which is another reason for joining Good Reads! :)

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) i have to say my fave series would have to be the Cassandra Palmer series by Karen Chance and the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs
i also highly recommend the Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep, the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost and the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich (which is hilarious!)

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) | 43 comments I am just up to Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher . I really like
Jeaniene Frost , Patricia Briggs , Rachel Vincent , Karen Marie Moning , Jennifer Estep , Charlaine Harris , Kelley Armstrong , But I think most of all, I like Richelle Mead .

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) @ Terri,
i agree Richelle Mead is the BEST!

:D

message 75: by Angela (new)

Angela (angieerickson) | 33 comments I have a lot of UF Favourites:

Dark Swan by Richelle Mead
Georgina Kincaid by Richelle Mead
Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews
Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong
Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs
Aisling Gray Guardian by Katie MacAlister
Jaz Parks by Jennifer Rardin
Elemental Assassin by Jennifer Estep

If you include Night Huntress as UF, than its on the top of my list. Night Huntress isn't UF though, it's PNR.

message 76: by DustyTorus (new)

DustyTorus | 2 comments It's has to be Kate Daniels for me...it's an urban fantasy that feels real and you can honestly be transported to a place that could totally exist in some form, somewhere...

And Curran is HOT, HELLO! :P

Angela (angieerickson) | 33 comments Anita wrote: "...And Curran is HOT, HELLO!:P"

message 79: by Deandri (new)

Deandri O'Hare (daandie) | 10 comments I'd have to say its a toss up between Kate Daniels and Mercy Thompson. Although it feels like they bring out a new book like once in a blue moon now.

Cindy | 9 comments I love the Dresten Files by Jim Butcher, solid main charcter wtih a great sense of humor! With that said, the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning and the Hallows series series by Kim Harrison are also neck in neck for first place as well. What can I say, I love then all for differnet reasons..

I am finishing Hellbent now and I have to admit it is quite good. I think I love the idea that she is a neurotic thief.

Gin | 338 comments My favorite series would have to be between
Rachel Morgan by Kim Harrison, Dark Days By Jocelyn Drake,Dorina Basarab by Karen Chance, and Fever series by KMM. My list wants to keep going, so I'll just stop there.

message 93: by ~Leslie~ (new)

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) Ilona Andrews has a series called "The Edge" which includes On the Edge (The Edge, #1) by Ilona Andrews , Bayou Moon (The Edge, #2) by Ilona Andrews and Fate's Edge (The Edge, #3) by Ilona Andrews . I've read the first two and they are wonderful.

message 94: by Den (new)

Den (dnmcdy) | 8 comments There are so many UF series that I like. I do pay close attention for the latest books from Patricia Briggs and Devon Monk. However I check in on most of the other UF authors almost as regularly. I use a spreadsheet to keep track of books and authors I've read. It got too confusing otherwise when I shopped at book stores.

message 95: by Destiny (new)

Destiny (destiny84) The Hollows series by Kim Harrison is my favorite UF series.

message 96: by Cindy (new)

Cindy | 9 comments I love Kate Daniels, Rachel Morgan, Cassis Palmer and one of course Mercy Thompson. But one of my new Favs in Daryda Jones Darynda Jones with the Charley Davidson series, this series is funny and has a great story line.. you have got to give this one a try!

message 97: by Marsha (new)

Marsha | 40 comments This is a hard question, for sure - but, I think I'll have to say that Stacia Kane (Downside Series), Devon Monk, Jennifer Estep, Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, and Kim Harrison are among my favorite authors. I'm sure there are more, I'm very bad with names. Each chance I get, I try to spread the word about Stacia Kane's Downside series. Dark, gritty, fun, not your typical heroine at all. I can't wait for the 4th installment.

message 98: by Mike (new)

Mike | 353 comments My favorite is the Dresden Files followed closely by C.E. Murphy's Walker Papers. My new finds that I am really digging are October Daye and the Iron Druid.

message 99: by Dawn, Desperately seeking new worlds (new)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Everyone loves Dresden :)

I do enjoy the October Daye series I think it has gotten better as it moves on yet it still seems unpopular.

message 100: by Penny (new)

Penny Greenhorn I love the Kate Daniels series, but now that she and Curren are together I'm not dying for the next book.
I liked the Sookie Stackhouse series, but now that her and Eric are waning and not waxing, I'm disappointed.
I used to love Mercy Thompson, but that love triangle didn't last nearly long enough...
I guess there may be a trend here. Which means the only UF I'm still totally caught up in is Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series. How she can keep that love interest hanging on for so many books is beyond me. I love it!
