We just wrapped REIGN of Books Episode 10, which covered some required reading by sci-fi master H.G. Wells. For the record, my cohost Jonathan Kiel did not call Wells' writing "3rd grade junk." He said it was the exact opposite. Just clarifying.

Fall of Hyperion is a white-knuckle thriller in oooouteeeerspaaaaace. Are we or aren't we going to make it? Wouldn't it be crazy if Simmons ends it ALL, humanity and our whole mess of problems? This book makes our politics and holy wars look like child's play.
