Ha, ha! It looks like we posted at the same time again. I won't count Mysteries of Paris for my Classics Challenge until next year, then. It will be an interesting read.

Simona,
These would also fit this month's Genre Challenge for Gothic genre. How was Vathek? It's a book I've heard of but never read.

It turned out to be quite an exciting read after a slow start."

It went into Sensation Novel mode at the end, didn't it? Better than just a straight romance plot, in my opinion.

My second classic is The People of the Mist. I gave up after the 40% mark.

Yeah, the romance really slows the pace way down. Too bad.

I hardly read any classics this year. The few that I read were:

1. Alice In Wonderland (Part #1) Manga - EB
2. Wuthering Heights - EB
3. A Dog Of Flanders - AB
4. Juju - AB

I'm glad that Dagny recommended the audiobooks that she did. At least I managed to read the last two in time.
Next year I'll try and do a classic audiobook every month.

I just finished The Fortieth Door. (My third classic since joining the group this year.)
