We thought we'd add another list this year (who doesn't love lists!) so as well as our top 5 reads for 2015, this one is only your reads by Aussie authors:) As per usual, they don't have to be published in 2015, just read by you...

That's one of the problems isn't it! That wish list just gets longer:)

I read the Miniaturist, which was alright, but doesn't belong in top 5. I haven't read many Aussie authors this year, but it is more than what I have read other years.

Yes, we leave tonight Brenda! I've finished packing, watered the pot plants and have a few hours to fill in before we head off ... so time for a check in with AR and a spot of reading :)

I am embarrassed to say that most of my books have been by non-Australian authors this year. My top 3:
The Tree Of Man
Why Weren't We Told?
The Secret Chord

Perhaps you could challenge yourself to read more Aussies next year Tango? :)

My top 5 in no particular order are:
Fractured by Dawn Barker,
Matthew Flinders' Cat by Bryce Courtenay,
The Promise by Naomi Reed,
Heading Home by Naomi Reed, and
The Opal Desert by Di Morrissey, with an honourable mention for Life or Death by Michael Robotham.

Many of my Australian author reads this year related to my 2015 Personal Challenge, which was to read a number of books about Australians at war, in honour of the ANZAC centenary. So three of my top 5 are in that vein in some way:
Ronan's Echo by Joanne van Os
Barbed Wire And Roses by Peter Yeldham
The Heroes by Ronald McKie

And two outstanding pieces of contemporary fiction:
Addition by Toni Jordan
Red Queen by Honey Brown

Out of the 160 books I have read so far this year - 51 have been by Aussie authors from all across the genre's.

My top book of 2015 is by an Australian author - Palace of Tears by Julian Leatherdale
