I received a copy of The Fellowship: The Literary Lives of the Inklings: J.R.R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Owen Barfield, Charles Williams by Philip Zaleski for my birthday. I am looking forward to that. I also discovered a box of Andre Norton novels is the in-laws basement.

Wow! I love that genre list!! I've never thought that seriously about my sci-fi... heck, or about my literature in general. Oops.

I am looking forward to reading The Martian, finishing The Sandman graphic novel series, and reading Hyperion. So many books, so little time!

The martin, Sandman, and Hyperion. That is a pile of awesome.

Already 2 weeks in and I have scratched seven books off my list.

I have found that I love Alastair Reynolds. Terminal World was very interesting and made me want to check out more of his writing.

Feel like I am doing well, 21 down and 66 to go. Some that I have left are huge books (1000+ pages)

Don't let the page number intimidate you, M! I've found that spacing larger books between smaller ones helps me keep reading steadily.

Discovering the bonus to reading huge books. "Oh I see you are reading" is now a common comment in the house. I am left alone to happily be in my SciFi world and have my Tea.

That's awesome! I also love the conversation which these books tend to trigger. Keep it up!

I have passed the halfway point. Soon I will load the second batch of books. Fantasy sub-genres.
