I loved this book. I highly recommend it. 5 stars. My review is here.
Since the protagonist, Sumire, is attracted to someone of the same gender then it also goes as part of my bingo challenge! Definitely a bonus!

Great books in 2016 so far!

Same her Angela! I was way too invested in how things worked for Theo, and Hobie was the best, but I have mixed feelings about Boris (if only because of that plot twist towards the end).

:-) Always makes me happy to see others loving books that I love.

Laura- I didn't think I would love it so much, but I just couldn't stop thinking about it when I wasn't reading it. The Compsons felt so real.

I'm glad you had a good start!

This was my first Nicholas Sparks book, and I wasn't too impressed. I picked it up because a friend recommended it to me; but honestly I wasn't expecting much to begin with.
The biggest flaw was that the book couldn't decide what genre it wanted to be: is it a thriller romance? is it supernatural?
The ending didn't really fit into the whole scheme of things.
Aside from that the dialogue was cheesy and the writing tedious.
