Pj Latest trailer for The Divergent Series Allegiant reminds me of the kind of feelings felt when seeing the Force Awakens trailer for how spectacular in many senses it was: visually, emotionally, and thrillingly

Nobody's Perfect I just hope for a different ending. I mean there are many short changings so can't there be a BIG change in the end. Finger Crossed!

Wanda I just wish they would have stuck more to the book. In the last movie the FX were nice but the story line was totally different and didn't really make sense if you actually thought about what they were doing. Hopefully this new movie has better script writers and they more closely followed the book although I doubt it. :(

Ilana i've heard that the ending is going to be different from the book and was also semi author approved. what that means though i don't know. but...it'll be interesting to see.

the trailer's decent - i still never had those images in my head as i was reading it to see what it looks like on screen, but i suppose that's the joy of book to movie adaptations.

I really hope it sticks close to the book. The second wasn't really good, the first was amazing. But the ending can't change!

Ryder I, as a huge fan of the book series wanted them turned into movies so I can see a story I adore come to life, not so I can see the entire plot lines change and them practically be in an entirely different world to what I read and loved.

This isn't what I wanted to see!

Totally agree

I second this.

Exactly! My thoughts exactly!!

This is why I'm not going to watch this movie. I liked the first film as felt it was too far from the book. But then Insurgent was ALOT different and it really bothered me throughout the whole film. I can't watch Allegiant because I loved the book so much and will end up hating the film, I know it.

I feel that if they think they can't keep a film as close to the book as possible then they shouldn't adapt it into a film!

I am so glad there are other readers who feel the same way about the movies as myself. Loving this series as I do I was so excited to see it brought to life and given the recognition it deserved. I feel the first movie (although there were some changes I didn't like) did Divergent justice, but it all went down hill with Insurgent. It was nothing like the book at all, Tris and Four's relationship was sooo undeveloped in the movie, and the plot was completely made up, Uriah, Tori, and Marlene, were hardly included, and I swear Evelyn looked the same age as Four! Anyways, after the movie I was devastated and knew I wouldn't go see Allegiant. Now after seeing the Allegiant previews I think it might be even worse than Insurgent as far as the books go. Knowing that they've changed the part two title to Ascendant makes me believe they will also change the ending, which is beyond shameful. It's supposed to be based off these amazing books but instead looks like a StarWars/Hunger Games wannabe. I was wondering if others think they will change the ending, if so how do you feel about it?

Rachel If they change the ending it would be the last straw for me. I have gone as far as refusing to even watch the trailer for Allegiant. I want to pretend that the film wasn't made so that my Divergent heart can't be broken.

I also felt that Tris & Four's relationship in Insurgent was nowhere near as believable as in the book.

I feel so disappointed that yet another series has been ruined because of the films being so far from the books. I'll stick to the books as I genuinely enjoyed them and won't give the films anymore bother.

Glad you agree!!

Wanda I went to see the movie. Not happy with this at all.

Rachel Oh no. Don't tell me it will only make me mad..

yup the ending WAS different but there's more in the story so there's gonna be another part.. "Ascendant". I hope that ends well.

well you're right Rachel. Ok I got the meaning of book ending but still we want a happy ending in every movie. Seriously If they changed the ending in the movie that doesn't matter or even count because movie is soooooooooo far from the novel. We want a happy ending in the novel which not gonna happen because it concluded (which I hate ofcourse) but WHATEVER.

and yeah we all agree with you!!!
