Ok, I get confused about the Reverse. I think I've got it added correctly on the spreadsheet, but if Kierra or someone else thinks it's wrong, please let me know. :P

Nanci, I asked about the Reverse card in the beginning of the challenge. Basically, you could have read the book 10 years ago and Arlene still can use it as a Reverse.

I saw that after I added it. I fixed it though.

Here's an update...I asked to see if we could get another player, since we're down a few people compared to other teams, but there is no one else to add. We'll just read away and do our best like we did in May. We won't be one of the top teams, but we can still have fun!

Great news team! The mods were able to help us out concerning our lack of team members. Here's the message I received from Karen:

So the actual books read by your remaining team members last month was 81 and their books p/m on sign ups would have been 72.
The average for team sizes based on sign up numbers is 82. So if we were to get a new player, I would look for someone at 10 books per month.

As we won't get a new player, I've spoken to pixie and we suggest that for May, Scooby Doo can chose any 10 books you read in April and use them again in May as a "psuedo player". In the player name on the spreadsheet just call it 'Player X' ;)


I will add the 10 books from 'Player X' after we are part way through the month and see what we really need. This is really going to help us be on par with the other teams and so nice of them to help us out this way!

Has anyone read, Throne of Glass? Letitia has finished it, so it would be great if we can use it as a Reverse. I keep seeing it on threads, so guessing it's pretty popular.

Anyone read The Widow? I just finished it and gave it 4 stars. It's quite popular right now too.

Just finished reading Throne of Glass, spreadsheet updated.

I noticed that Letitia added Feral Sins, I have also read this book earlier in the year. I added to my uno shelf, can be used a reverse for hand 2. I'll add it to the spreadsheet.

Nice mini challenge! How about we move it (the tab) to our personal spreadsheet so that everyone can edit it?

OMGosh, Greta! That was my all-time favorite book for years! I read it in 7th grade, so I'll add it to my GR books, so it can be a Reverse. Such a classic!

Glad you liked it. It had a huge impact on me as a teenager. My best friend even wrote a sequel, which of course was never published. :p

Yes, for a 14 year old I thought it was really good. It took her about a year to write it. We laugh about it now. She's a real smarty pants. She's Turkish, speaks and reads 5 languages fluently and has 3 masters plus a PhD!

I finished the Heir of Fire so I will start to read the book that Arlene read which is feral sins. I also read the book that Brianna is reading and added it to our team spreadsheet.

When you go to the UNO Scooby Doo spreadsheet at the very bottom where the tabs are there are arrows to the far right. Click on the arrow on the right and you will see the Eurovision tab. It's just hidden. I added Heir of Fire for you. Thanks for adding your books to the team spreadsheet.

Working on word 9 for the Eurovision mini challenge for May. Remember for each letter we get 5 points and then 15 points for each word we finish. Please add your books as you read them, or if you'd rather post them here and I'll add them.

Also, for the mini challenge all books are applicable as long as they are finished May 10-31st. That means if you started reading a book at the beginning of UNO in March, but don't finish it until May 10 or later it can be used. :)

No worry. So much easier to explain these things in person. Just post as you read and I'll take care of it. :)

My thought is that I will mark all the books I read in the Personal Spreadsheet for May and then update here with all the letters my book works for. That way you can use the book for whatever letter you need. Is that ok?

So a letter needs to be the first letter in the book title, author first name or surname, character name or nickname, or setting. Articles (a/an/the) can be ignored in the book titles. For this spell-it-out, you can also use the first letter in the series name.

Sounds good to me! I will add my book to the spreadsheet and then put all the letters available in a post on here. Then I don't have to make my head spin trying to figure out where to go. ha.
