If you could all please link your shelves while we're waiting for everyone to appear, that would be great. Thanks!
And since it is now midnight, eurgh, I'm going to head to bed - have to get up for work in the morning. Friday!!

So I went through our first thirteen hands to have a look around at we can expect for March.
We have 2 Wild Draw 4 cards, which we will fill in last - unless we have a book that fits nowhere else - as we don't have to worry about anything for this card.
We also have 3 Wild cards, which are fairly easy to fill in as well as the book needs to fulfill one of the requirements for any of the 0-9 cards.
We have 7 Draw 2 cards, which unfortunately means less points, but it also means less books to be read. We have several hands with 2 of these cards so those hands will be filled in quite quickly.
We have 6 Skip cards, which require title/author initials/setting/character initials or nickname to start with K or P.
Now this is where it becomes interesting: we have 8 reverse cards, which means we have to read 8 books that have previously been read by someone on this team. So.. hit us with your suggestions! Which books would you recommend for the rest of us to read? Since we can never have too many books on our TBR shelves, right?
All the other cards:
0 (standalone or zero/0 in title or Z) - 3 times
1 (#1 in series or one/1 in title or O) - 5 times
2 (#2 in series or two/2 in title or T) - 8 times
3 (#3 in series or three/3 or H) - 7 times
4 (#4 in series or four/4 in title or F) - 8 times
5 (#5 in series or five/5 in title or I) - 8 times
6 (#6 in series or six/6 in title or S) - 7 times
7 (#7 in series or seven/7 in title or V) - 6 times
8 (#8 in series or eight/8 in title or E) - 6 times
9 (#9 in series or nine/9 in title or N) - 7 times

Cut & Run series
Alpha & Omega series
Jane Yellowrock series
to name a few I saw at a quick first glance.

Yes, I was so glad when I saw you were the captain!=)

Glad you found a few. I'll look at others shelves in a bit and see what I have to read that others have already read.

Even the explanation doesnt help:
**The Draw Two card will automatically be counted and your book can count for two other cards.
Although you don't get points for the 'draw 2' card, you have the benefit of having points for two cards with just one book, and you complete the hand faster :)
So if our first hand is 4, 5, Skip, 8, 7, 4, Draw 2
- how many books we have to read?
only five? or even four?

I dont think it means less points, but we can have points for two cards with just one book (less reading, but the same amount of points)

Basically, with your example of hand 1: we would have to read only 5 books instead of 7.
The Draw 2 card allows us to read one book that fits for two cards other than the Draw 2. The Draw 2 card isn't a card as such. It doesn't give any points and you don't read for that card, per se, so the spot remains empty.(I will just fill in the title of the book on the Draw 2 card usually because I like having something in the spot so I don't have a heart attack at the end of the month thinking we forgot to read all those cards ;-).)
There is a tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet marked "Example" and there you will see an example of how the draw 2 card is used in hand 2.
Does this make it any clearer? If not, don't hesitate, I'll try to explain it differently. It will definitely become clearer once we start filling in books and the example tab helps as well to visualise it all.

LOL, ok thank you alot :)!
I completely understand now (the example helped also, but you explained it so simply and clearly)
Also noted that: read one book that fits for two cards
Thank you again! (my first uno-game...) :)

I'm glad you understand it now - it isn't the easiest card hehe. If it's any consolation, we were somewhat confused the first time around as well ;-)

I have on my TBR shelf The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which I also found from Danielle´s read shelf and since I planned to read this book anyway ASAP I can read it for this challenge.

I saw a couple of books on some of your read shelves that will work for the reverse card.

I changed my name so only JennyWren shows up. Not my full name which was soooo lame. Oh captain my team captain would you be so kind to change it in the first post so it linkss to my GR page.

While you're at it - could you also please change Amy to Pepperpots to reflect her GR name? Thank you! :-)

Loved Pritkin from the first book despite his attitude!
