I just wrote down my review of SoC (no spoilers). And yes! the characters are great! I loved Kaz and Inej the most.

Yeah, but I kept on reading because "what if" and boy, it is a "what if". I loved it when I was finished, and I cant wait for the next book

I agree. At the beginning it was even a little tiring to continue reading, but I'm glad I kept going. I hope the next book won't have a slow beginning like this one.
