We are asking all members to nominate books they wish to read, which are Retellings of a fairytale, myth or legend.
Once all nominations are in, two polls will be added for you to vote on which books you wish to read for July's Book of the Month. However, if there are not enough books up for nomination, then only one poll will be created and the top two books will be our book's of the month.

You all have until 15th June to suggest a book of the month.

Note: Authors are not to nominate their own books and please do not repeat a book if it has been suggested already or if it has already been the book of the month previously. Thank you.

Karen (karenarrowood) | 167 comments Not sure if these will count, as they are not YA, but I loved:
The Vixen and the Vet by Katy Regnery , which is a modern Beauty & the Beast retelling,
and Never Let You Go by Katy Regnery , a Hansel & Gretel retelling.
The author also has
Ginger's Heart by Katy Regnery (Little Red Riding Hood), which I would love to read.

Heard it's like a dystopian style Cinderella.

message 21: by Jenny (new)

Jenny (juliababyjen) | 1075 comments Hmm... I've read the Selection, and it seemed more like a dystopian remake of "The Bachelor" to me.

Ok, then it is sort of a retelling, but not the sort we are looking out for. I will delete the suggestion. Thanks for letting me know.

Joan wrote: "When We Collided"

Is this a retelling of a fairytale, myth or legend? If not then we cannot add this suggestion to the poll as it's not the theme we are asking for, sorry.
